Sonesta Simply Suites Oklahoma City Airport

Not like the Photos My friend booked this so we could stay for an early morning flight the next morning. My husband dropped us off and it actually made me nervous the entrance into the hotel was not welcoming at all. It was a make shift desk, so obviously they were doing some major renovations there. Our room looked nothing like these photos. Not quite this polished. I will admit, they had try to renovate the room and had obviously added new pieces but, the damaged wood trim along the floor and around the window was obvious this room had been through some wear. The bathroom door needed replacing badly. I didn't sleep well all night due to the insecure feeling of the place. One thing I will say that was a good point, they did have an airport shuttle pick us up for the airport and they were there on time. That was great appreciated.

Not impressed at all. Well, where do I start. Like a previous review. They didn’t allow cats, after pointing out it didn’t mention that on any sites or the one we booked through. Poorly managed hotel, not clean at all, the building is sketchy, and poor maintenance. Will be staying elsewhere next time in town visiting family.

Sonesta isn’t Sweet The room reeked of cigarettes, was told they accepted pets, however upon check-in was informed “not cats” after that drama, they allowed me to stay. Did not feel the reviews gave adequate representation of this property. If you don’t allow cats, update your site, state you allow dogs. Such a gross property.

Good place for short term but crime is a problem! Pros: “Affordable,” has cooktop oven and after a month, if you don’t check out before 30 days, sales tax is reduced. Pet friendly. Housekeeping staff are wonderful. Free laundry is a plus! Cons: Lack of adequate security on the premises and parking lot. Fake security (no insurance coverage and no cameras) - Lots of crime and homeless aggression in the area. They claim to have a security guard on the premises to watch the parking lot but they watched and did nothing as someone stole my $500 bike, vandalized and damaged our work truck trying to steal more, hit our work truck in the parking lot (long term resident who lives at the hotel did a hit and run), and a tire slashed. Never have experienced such criminality while at a hotel, suffered losses of at least $3,000 with little resolution. We stayed for almost three months while in OKC on business (military) and the hotel is full of transients, many are on drugs and engage in prostitution (staff) but somehow can afford to stay for a long time. Would not recommend staying for more than a week due to the increased crime and Longterm stay residents.

Great Suites This is an affordable and clean hotel located near The Oklahoma City Airport. The suites are great for an extended stay, the suites have a full kitchen and lots of space. The hotel is located within walking distance of countless restaurants and the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for an affordable hotel/suite in Oklahoma City, this is a great choice.
