Retaliation due to compliant about chemical exposure from hot tub We initially had a good experience, but had an issue with the hot tub. We used the hot tub and pool on the first day. It was a little dirty but acceptable. The third day, we used the hot tub again and when we turned it on my daughter and father in law were overwhelmed with the chemicals and start coughing and their eyes started burning. They got out quickly, used the pool shower to try to wash out the chemicals. Their coughing stopped after 20 minutes or so. We brought attention to the front desk so they could take care of it, we didn’t want anyone else to get exposed to the high level of chemicals. Well two weeks later we had another baseball tournament and booked a room again via the Hilton app. The hotel cane felled the reservation the night before without an explanation. We called Hilton honors and got it rebooked. They proceeded to cancel it again the day of the reservation. I called the front desk to find out what was going on and they proceeded to accuse us of fraud and mentioned the compliant and the fact that we cancelled a reservation (and rebooked). They then proceeded to tell me we were banned from staying at the Hilton oneato my hotel. Btw, we did that because a close friend died this week and I had to adjust to Goto a funeral and shorted my stay. My wife is a Hilton diamond member and I am a Hilton gold member, we don’t expect to be treated this way by a Hilton property. We now had to find a different hotel last minute. I am very disappointed in the hotel and I hope Hilton works to retrain hotel management to not retaliate based on a compliant.

Decent Hotel but Horrible Value Like most of their other guests we stayed here because it’s relatively close to Cooperstown (30-minute drive). Every place in the area seems to charge sky-high prices in the summer. The Hampton Inn was no exception as we paid $470/night with taxes. Overall the hotel was a pretty standard Hampton Inn. Our room was above average in size - more of a junior suite. The bathroom was large but it took a few minutes for the water to heat up in the shower. The tv wasn’t good - the guide didn’t work and the channel selection was lousy. One big problem for me was that they only clean rooms every other day. I realize that this is likely a corporate policy but for $470 per night I expect my room to be cleaned daily. They put about 10 free cookies out in the afternoon. I don’t know why they bother since they seemed to be gone in an hour. Breakfast was average. They have a 3-4 hot items and a good variety of other things. I would rate it as better than the breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express but not as good as a Residence Inn. Parking spaces were unusually small for a parking lot. Not sure that two large trucks could park next to each other. The place isn’t terrible but for the price that they charge they should do better.

Poor Customer Service Terrible customer service was charged twice for a room arrived at hotel receive 1 room my chase rewards was used to pay for room they told me that they needed my credit card for security deposit, and then charged my card for the room when I left the hotel. So they got paid twice for 1 Room! The manger was extremely unprofessional and honestly said she didn't care and to dispute the charge! These are privately owned hotels and lack the quality of help of large scale hotels you have a lot of better choices! Avoid !

Good Option in Oneonta Great place to stay with a good hot breakfast. Dog friendly, clean, nice staff, good room. Lobby is very nice, breakfast area is great, bright and clean. Good eggs and lots of variety. A little tricky to find but it's close to the highway. The staff was very helpful as well.

An excellent value! This place was a very pleasant surprise - we were on a long road trip, it was late and I was tired of driving. No hotels (or anything else for that matter) are in site for miles and miles and then we see this small sign announcing Hampton Inn — we exit and follow this winding road — We almost give but we find it. And to our surprise— it was just perfect. Good service - spotless rooms - quiet rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was better than most. I highly recommend this place if you need a comfortable, safe, clean and friendly place to stay.
