Night #1 of a 5 week trip We are on a 5 week road trip across the country. We are starting on the East Coast and working our way to the West Coast. We will be in a different hotel every night. I thought it would be helpful to post my reviews, if anyone cares. Night 1: This hotel had everything I look for in a place to stay. It was clean, which is the most important trait I look for. The floors were luxury vinyl instead of carpet. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, which is the second thing I look for. They were very engaging with that Southern hospitality that I love. The breakfast was my kind of breakfast. They had regular omelettes and egg white omelettes, crispy bacon, turkey sausage patties, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, pretty much everything you could want. Plus they have biscuits and gravy. I knew I was in the south, when I saw that. I highly recommend this place. Total price was $170 for 2 people. We signed up for the rewards program hoping that all of the Holiday Inn Expresses along our way will be this nice.

Nice Hotel Stay This was a nice stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful especially when an issue was found on the reservation. Breakfast area is large and accommodating. It is tucked way back behind the main traffic and can be hard to get to if one is not familiar with the road.

Great since the refurbishing We had stopped using this hotel on our trips driving from up north to and from Florida. We saw that a Hotel refurbish had taken place so we decided to try it again. It was excellent. The new decor and the room interiors were great. Good breakfast and very pleasant service from the staff.

Good stop for the night We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was very clean and modern. The room didn't have carpet, which was great because we had our dog along. I'm not sure if that is just in their pet-friendly rooms or all rooms. The breakfast was the usual fare - lots of good options and the yummy cinnamon rolls. Staff was friendly and helpful

Great stay! I requested and received a quiet room on a high floor. The room was clean, no carpeting which is healthier, the bed was very comfortable, a selection of firm and soft pillows were available, plenty of towels in the bathroom, shampoo/conditioner/lotions/bar soaps were available, the microwave and mini-fridge were operational, single serving coffee maker & tea were provided, and the heat/AC worked properly. Plenty of television channels available, I just wish the TV guide option was available, but I've noticed it's not available in many hotel brands. I have no complaints about the room comfort and amenities. (Toilet paper holder was coming loose from the wall, but it was there and working). The breakfast included hot egg & cheese omelets, bacon, turkey sausage, a variety of breads, cinnamon rolls, cereals, yogurt, coffee/decaf, and so on. Enough to meet your dietary needs, fill you up, and more. The breakfast room staff and the front desk staff acknowledged me when we crossed paths, and they were friendly and helpful. The common area off the reception area was comfortable, and had a large TV if you wanted to watch away from your room. This was an enjoyable stay, and I will return when in the area.
