Last stop on cross country move The away was amazing especially as we had to switch hotels day of since our original choice smelled like cigarette smoke and we couldn't have that around our daughter. The staff was super helpful and the hotel was very clean. Overall it was an amazing stay.

Okay, glad I didn't pay too much After reading reviews on here we expected a lot more. Rooms were old looking, air con was overpowering. The man at the front desk was rude and made us feel unwelcome and stressed. The room was quiet and the area felt quiet safe. There was free parking, however it wasn't locked or anything. Breakfast was okay, can't complain as it was free.

Just an okay hotel, look for other Ayres properties before this one. Bed was very uncomfortable and firm but the pillows were comfortable. There's no ventilation in the bathroom so the steam stays in there for a long time following a shower. The toilet seat didn't stay down which caused issues for my husband. We love staying at Ayres hotels but this one was our least favorite. Others have much better dining options and have a great breakfast, this location had a small buffet but with less options. The restaurant attached to the hotel doesn't show much respect for the people staying at the hotel, has poor service and very overpriced food.

BEWARE: Service Animals are NOT welcome here. I was a traveling auditor on business with my service dog (detects hypoglycemia especially during my sleep - diabetic coma is no joke) and stayed two nights at this hotel. The hotel charges $49.50 for service dog per stay. This was not disclosed to me upon check-in. I travel for work for 5 years and this is the first hotel chain that charges my service animal to stay with me at the hotel. I'm pretty sure it's a law that you can't charge this to service animals, but their personnel do not know federal laws and will not disclose this to you until you notice that they had removed it from the 100 dollar deposit placed upon check-in.

Couldn't wait to finally check out This hotel is difficult to review. First the good - clean, comfortable beds and room, free parking, free hot breakfast, 24/7 coffee station in the lobby, very affordable when compared to inflated Anaheim neighbor hotel prices. The bad - honestly, everything. 2 old style tiny elevators - maybe room for 4 guests, but no more. Thankfully there are two staircases if one is willing to climb. The shower head is about half a foot lower than other hotel showers - I'm petite and the nozzle was right at my hairline. The walls are so thin, strangers' conversations sounded like they were in the room. The doors fit the frames so badly, that air can be felt in the massive gap at the bottom. Single window panes or just cheap and thin glass, not only can you hear the loud I-5 freeway, but also the heavy traffic on Chapman and City Dr, AND all the ambulance sirens for UCI Medical Center across the street. Yes the hotel offers parking, but on my last day I witnessed a Medical Center worker park in a guest space and walk to work - no he wasn't staying there and it was obvious he not only knew this wasn't allowed but he had been getting away with it for a while. That leads me to the last issue - the employees. Maybe it's because they have to wear a uniform? Maybe the pay rate is low? Maybe it's a stressful job? In any case, in my 3 night stay I didn't encounter anyone who was friendly or helpful. When I was attempting to check out, the overnight front desk associate acted like I was in the wrong for making him get out of his chair in the office.. all because there is a sign that CLEARLY directs guests to check out at the front desk. I doubt I would stay here again, but if you aren't bothered by noise and attitude, then this hotel would probably be great for you.
