Clarion Inn Ormond Beach at Destination Daytona

"Non Smoking Hotel" stunk like smoke! The Hotel was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. The Venue was even better and literally a 45 second walk from our room ...amenities, restaurants, bars, live music and a Harley shop located right in the "village". The room was spacious, clean and had a full kitchen, living room and pull out couch. My rating at 2 star is because the places touts themselves as a non- smoking property. The room reeked of smoke. The sheets and towels and air coming out of the air conditioner. Didn't sleep much as I got so stuffed up by the smoke smell. We were in room 3018. I left the room for breakfast as soon as it opened as I couldn't even breath in there. My bags and clothes all smelled like smoke as well. Not good! I referred the info. to the front desk attendant who was cordial and took note of the room number. Overall I love the place, but the smoke stench killed the entire experience.

Strong value, no complaints Room was huge which made up for it being very dated. The service from the front desk was excellent. The free breakfast has lots of options. Assuming the very low price I paid is typical, I would rate it excellent due to the great value, service, and spaciousness and cleanliness of the room.

Clarion to the Rescue Our home was struck by lightning and caught fire, so in the middle of the night we needed a place to go -- with our pets -- and this Clarion came to the rescue. They were so very accommodating, turning our horrible experience into one that was actually warm, friendly and welcoming. Every person we encountered was kind and helpful. As soon as they could, they offered a larger suite for our stay which made it more like a home than a hotel. Not only did we have a bedroom and bath, but a living room, full kitchen, AND a washer and dryer. The accommodations were wonderful and cheery and there were plenty of options for restaurants nearby. The area felt very safe -- even when taking our dog for a potty run in the middle of the night. But the best part was the staff. These folks worked together as a team. Any time we asked for something, the response was quick. And every person felt like a neighbor instead of someone from who knows where just passing through on a rotation to check the boxes in the hotelier career path. In addition to the normal hotel offerngs, there is a great pub/restaurant on site with entertainment and a nice pool. Breakfasts are included and there are hot and cold options with the friendliest of breakfast managers. It's only a short drive to the ocean and right off I-95 which makes it super convenient to everything in the greater Daytona Beach/St. Augustine area. Orlando and all its offerings are only an hour or so away. I highly recommended the Clarion at Ormond Beach and invite you to come for a visit. They gave us a temporary home when ours was uninhabitable and we will never forget their goodness.

Never again! The worst hotel service I had ever experience, from rude/angry man on front desk and Poor customer service. Aside of walking in to a room with a commercial air cleaner that possibility had just ran out of on time, the room had a strong odor and my eyes had a slight irritation.

Worst place ever Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at, from the start I asked if they had rooms for 6 people,,yes they did they might have slept 6 people but don’t plan on eating in the room together because we only had 1 plate 1 bowl 3 spoons 4 forks,and for some reason 7 knives,we didn’t have coffee filters or the coffee tray to put the coffee on we had no toilet paper
