Hampton Inn Ottawa (Starved Rock Area)

All newly renovated & nice! Happy to stay in this all new renovated Hampton! Very updated & fresh decor in the room & lobby. Spotless & a very comfy stay. The gal who checked us in was friendly & efficient. The young gentleman managing the breakfast area was also efficient & friendly. Easy on & off the highway & close to restaurants. Just a good, solid stay & highly recommend.

Would stay here again! We were visiting starved rock and the lodge was sold out - so we ended up here. This hotel more than met our expectations, and we would stay here again. Nice room with enough space for our family of 3. The hotel was not too far from starved rock and the town was lovely. We spent time in Washingont Park where Lincolon and Douglas had their first debate - and enjoyed a nice meal in one of nearby restaurants.

Great stay! We drive through this area every June, but this is our first stay at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised! Greeted with a special bag for our pup, complete with dog biscuits and some pet waste bags! This hotel is updated and clean! The free breakfast was the icing on the cake! We will be booking here from now on! Thanks for the hospitality!

Updated spacious rooms in good location with helpful staff The hotel just underwent a renovation, and the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and furnishings. Our king room had a large sofa as well as a fridge and microwave. The staff is very pleasant and really seem to want you to have a great stay. The bathroom is modern with a large vanity and a nightlight. The towels and bedding are not luxurious but better than most hotels in this range. The breakfast buffet included scrambled eggs, chicken sausage and several kinds of bread and sweets. There was also oatmeal and cereal. The person who checked us in told me she has worked there 12 years and asked us to please call her with any needs. Kim, the manager, checked us out and really listened to ideas we had to improve the sound issues we had being next to the exit door. I have stayed in numerous hotels in the area since I am a frequent visitor to the nearby Starved Rock park area, and I find this is by far the best hotel to stay in when in the area. I will definitely come back even more now that the hotel is modern and renovated.

You have to stay here! Staff is friendly and helpful, and everything is new and beautiful--what more could you want? I had a king room that had a sleeper sofa with a grey, blue, and orange decor with pleasant artwork and all the amenities. The bathroom even had the wash clothes folded in attractive shapes. The bathroom has a walk in shower with very attractive glass doors. The shower even has a bar to rest your foot on when shaving your legs! The front desk staff member (Amy) told us about often overlooked things to see in the area (including Buffalo Rock State Park, with actual bison on premises) and shared the adventures of Harold the giraffe.
