Amazing Hotel and extremely large suites First time visiting Ottawa, and booked under the Ottawa Tourism special. Check in was quick and our room was ready early. Staff at the hotel were incredible friendly and helpful. The suite was huge, with two washrooms, a kitchen, large living room with a dining table, and separate large bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen was great for quick breakfasts. There is also a balcony with chairs. Parking is $25 per day, with in/out privileges. It's in a great, quiet location still within walking distance to Parliament. Unfortunately, it sounds like the hotel is closing in October 2020 to be turned into condos. This is too bad, I thought I had found my go to hotel for visiting Ottawa.

Clean, spacious, comfortable We stayed at the Albert at Bay Suite Hotel for a get-away in early August and couldn't have been happier. We found everyone to be helpful and informative, starting with the friendly booking experience with Bernadette M. The suites are spacious, making you feel you're in your own little apartment. It was very clean and well managed during Covid such that one felt comfortable staying there. A super place to stay for a few nights or weeks!

Huge suites. The suites are realy huge. Thick walls.Very quite. The hotel is excellent for families and businessmen, for a long stay. It looks like apartments in an residential building. You can cook at the kitchen.

Disappointing. At my arrival at the hotel the front door was locked and you had to be buzzed in which I guess from a security point of view was reassuring, but why locked if I didn’t know the area was there a problem? The lobby was very dark and not overly welcoming. Check-in was easy and uneventful, I asked about any of the facilities being open and the fitness room was not, and the cafe attached but not part of the hotel not open until 11am in the morning. No where for breakfast near the hotel for the next day. The room was very nice, a Superior Suite, and bright and airy. The kitchen was fully stocked with most items needed for self catering. (Cutlery and flatware) All the items were in the dish washer with a notice that all items had been washed and not used or handled by anyone. The bedroom nicely appointed and amble hangers with a safe in the closet. The bed was comfortable and there was a thermostat in the bedroom to control that specific area. The bathroom had a shower and there was a challenge. It took a while to get any hot water and the water pressure was almost nonexistent. The toilet broke the first time I used it. I could have fixed it myself but the design of the counter covered the toilet top and it was only accessible with a tool. I called the desk and maintenance was able to fix the shower and the toilet. The TV’s one in the lounge area and bedroom were nice sized and good colour. The menu with the programs limited and few movie networks available., No HBO, Netflix or others available. Some of the stations listed were not the programs playing and while programs listed stations those channels had no programs Cold water pipes were obviously to close to the hot water pipes as it came out tepid. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Polite and professional. There is road construction next to the property and noise prevents sitting out on the balcony. Not the hotels fault. If you want to find somewhere for breakfast ask at the desk. Nowhere close before 9am, there is a small convenient store next to the hotel but has little to offer and if you are looking to cook any meals the nearest grocery store is a fair distance. Would I recommend the hotel, not at the prices they are charging and especially during these times with so little open in or out of the hotel. The location is not bad if you want to be near Parliament Hill. Most restaurants, cafes, bars, etc are nearer the market area a 20+ minute walk.

Business trip to Ottawa Very clean room, kitchen, and bathroom. Have stayed here in the past and would do so again. Unfortunately, the location is a little far from downtown, but since this was a business trip, the location was ideally suited for accessing the client.
