5-star stay I had a 5-star experience. The ladies working at the front desk were very helpful, polite and friendly. I received a government employee discount which also helped out. The rooms were clean and well maintained with no issues to report. The price was very affordable. The breakfast was also good.

Out of control staff members & broken amenities My friend and I spent 6 consecutive nights here, a location that is known for its heated indoor pool and hot tub, and were the main reasons we chose to stay there. Our initial trip was only supposed to be for 4 days but was extended at the last minute, requiring us to vacate the room we had been in and relocate to another, something the hotel didn't inform us of until 10 minutes prior to checkout time. We had to phone the front desk and ask for a late checkout in order to pack to move rooms. While we were dressing and packing, one if their cleaning ladies began pounding on out door telling us that we needed to "get the hell gone" and how we "was holding her up goin' home." She stayed outside our door, alternating yelling at us to hurry and knocking loudly on the door. I finally had to phone the desk and request the manager come make her stop. On our last day, we checked out on time and were waiting in the parking lot for our Uber driver to arrive. The same cleaning lady came charging outside after us, screaming at us that "since yall ain't guests no mo' yall need to get the hell off the property!" I told her we were waiting on our Uber and she responded, "nu-uh, not here you ain't. What cho' need to do is get your skinny white @ss off this property before I done get the sheriff over here on yous!" We were literally in shock that she dared to speak to us in such a way! Not wanting a scene, we gathered our suitcases and walked over to the sidewalk. That wasn't good enough, apparently, as she still continued badgering us about us still being "on the property lines of her fine 'stablishments". Thank goodness our Uber arrived at that moment! She, however, stood in the same doorway, surrounded by the other housekeepers and the front desk clerk, who we couldn't see properly until changing viewing angles, yelling profanities at us even as we drove away. I called and reported her to the corporate office and for my trouble, they tacked on a $250 cleaning charge to my credit card, claiming we smoked in our room. Neither of us are smokers. They never did remove the charge, no matter how many people I phoned, emailed, etc. Just to put the icing on this cake, both the pool, hottub and vending machines were all out of commission for our entire stay, something that i even inquired about prior to booking the room. Will never again stay at a Sleep Inn!

A good choice in Owensboro I attended a kind of convention in Owensboro over the Memorial Day weekend. Festivities were downtown and the chosen hotel for the event was there. I chose Sleep Inn as I have been in The Choice rewards program for a long time. I was happy with my hotel, which was close enough to everything for me. It turned out many people in my group were also there. The room was lovely and clean, with nice facilities at the hotel. I had a good stay and can recommend.

Great find Very friendly, clean, good breakfast. What more do you want? Very good deal for the money. Thank you for hiring older workers! Maybe I should say experienced workers! We will definitely recommend and stay here again when travelling through.

Sleep Inn somewhere else Place was an absolute dumpster. Dirty, garbage from previous night was still in hallway on Sunday (originally from Friday), no tv in the room…it powered on but never had any channels available. Front desk had zero idea of how to correct the issue. If it wasn’t so late I would have asked for my money back and went elsewhere. Room was dirty and comforter nasty. I would stay elsewhere. There is a Comfort Suites right down the road that was much nicer.
