Dated! This place is dated, looks and feels old. Not kitchy, period-furniture old, but worn-out old. The good news is that they had rooms for the eclipse. Also, the beds were very comfortable, the linens crisp and fresh. The breakfast was standard-fare motel breakfast, with the waffle-maker and cut-up fruit and all. BUT: Check-in is at 3 - the housekeepers finished preparing our rooms for our arrival between 4:30 and 5:00; Despite the fact that I'd booked the rooms through hotels.com and had entered all my info beforehand, I needed to again give the clerk my name, address, etc etc etc at check-in; then had to do it ALL over again for room 2; and then had to do it all over again for room three! For a longer stay (which we didn't have this trip), they apparently only service the rooms every three days unless you ask; The couches were old, old, old, not comfy, and I sank into them the way one does on an old, beat-up couch; The edges of the desks and other wood furniture had the finish worn off; The carpets were old, ragged, with that old-carpet smell in areas. All in all, it won't be my first choice in the future.

Quiet motel with a hot breakfast, swimming pool, and moderately priced Quiet, clean, and near lots of restaurants Not much to add to the review as it was pretty much a standard motel. It was a very nice room, with microwave, small refrigerator and two comfortable chairs. We ate at the nearby Texas Roadhouse and we could walk there. We got a 10% off coupon for the restaurant.

Good road trip hotel Lots of hotel choices along highway and this is a very good one. Clean and well kept. Good breakfast with hot selections; only lacking fruit. Located near lots of restaurants, and some give 10% off bill for staying here. We went to TX Road House, which is loud and has average food. Hotel was a good stop off on our road trip.

Uncomfortable beds This may have been the hardest bed I have ever slept on. I had to double check and make sure they hadn't just thrown a sheet over the box spring. The staff was friendly and there were a good amount of towels in the room. The hotel appeared clean
