Comfy cozy I wasn’t sure about this hotel. As it was the only one in page land but…..Nice little place, nothing fancy but the room was clean. The beds were comfy and that is most important! The women that checked us in was very friendly considering we checked in late! Would stay here again!

Big Disappointment My wife and I enjoy long distance bicycle touring. This year our plan was to ride from Pittsburgh, Pa. to our home in Lancaster, SC. This spring in preparation for our trip we drove to Pageland to check out the Guest Lodge to make sure that it had non smoking rooms and that they are not usually filled to capacity the week we anticipated being in Pageland. We personally spoke with a lady who said they are usually not fully booked. We also mentioned that we would be riding bicycles on our trip. There was no indication this would be a problem. On November 15, 2021 I called to make a reservation, gave a lady my credit card info and was given a confirmation number. I was asked when we expected to arrive and I emphasized that we were traveling by bicycle and could not give an exact time but it would probably be before 3 PM. That was the end of the conversation. Upon arriving I provided my ID and credit card. After swiping it the lady informed me we would not be allowed to take our bikes into the room, that it was too small. I protested and shared that we have a lot of experience with this and would be able to make it work without soiling the bedspreads or furniture. She continued to insist the rooms were too small and we could leave our bikes in front of the room. She instructed her son to show me the room and though it was small, we could have made it work with no problems. The lady refused to consider our request and instead cancelled our reservation leaving us with 25 more miles to ride over hilly terrain with not enough hours of sun light left to make it home safely. Two points, in my opinion the lady who I presume owns the motel breached a verbal contract. She was informed on two occasions that we were traveling by bicycle and never informed us of their policy of not allowing us to take our bikes into our room. Had we known this we would have made other plans. In my opinion she thought she had us over a barrel. Secondly, claiming the rooms were smoke free is probably a stretch because ashtrays were conveniently placed outside the room door. So apparently you can’t smoke in the room but you can stand outside the door or air conditioner and puff away. We did manage to make it home safely by getting a ride.

Nice staff but a little rundown As someone already wrote, you get what you pay for. Room is a bit dark, only one small window. The lock on the door is broken. So far mattress seems hard. No coffee maker but they do have a microwave and a refrigerator. TV is not HD but that doesn’t bother me too much. Not terribly inviting from the outside - maybe plant some flowers or something? I was a little surprised to see person at the desk in the lobby behind glass! As far as I can tell no vending machines. Could use some bottled water but I’m not going to go out and find a place. I need to upload reports for work and so far Wi-Fi is not too good. You actually get a real key to the room; I haven’t seen that in a while. I have a hard time describing any hotel as clean knowing that they don’t change the bedspreads. As hotels go it is clean.

In town visiting family We were in Pageland visiting family and stayed here because it was close to them. Definitely a no-frills hotel though the TV was a decent flat screen and there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. It also had a small microwave and refrigerator. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We stayed two nights. A very nice hotel employee gave us our key to the room (after we tracked her down in the laundry room). Otherwise we didn't have much interaction with the hotel personnel. First night (a Thursday) the place was very quiet. Second night (a Friday) there seemed to be a little more activity and we were happy to stay in our room. They did have unsecured WIFI. The room was adequate for our needs and for the price we paid.

Clean, Spacious We were just looking for a place to stay one night on our trip. The room was big and very clean. Although it is near nothing, which is fine since we just needed to sleep before continuing our trip, but I thought $78 was a little high.
