Outstanding experience, spotless, quiet and comfortable with excellent breakfast My first impression of this property was that it is SO CLEAN. We stopped here on a road trip during the Canadian wildfires this summer, so the whole area was blanketed in smoke. I was NOT excited about staying at an EconoLodge - we were having a rough trip because of the smoke and I wanted a little bit of luxury. Well if EVERY EconoLodge were like this one, I'd stay there all the time! The staff were very friendly, there were all kinds of little extras - tea, snacks, ice water - nothing expensive, but tiny touches that made us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, the area was quiet and restful, and it was SO comfortable. The place was absolutely spotless; whoever runs their housekeeping deserves an award. Overall I had the impression that this place was run with love and with an attitude of taking care of the guests. I actually felt like a GUEST, a welcome guest, as opposed to the transactional feeling of simply being a paying customer that is present at so many other properties. Whoever is managing this property is doing it right. I would actually be willing to rearrange future road trips to specifically go by this property so we could stay here again.

Wanted to like it. Wanted to really like this place the front staff was very good. Hair dryer did not work, a/c could not change removal or fan setting. Towels were minimal and only one per. Bed was comfortable oh and only tfour very small pillows for a king bed. Sorry to say even for a travel stop it is not good enough to bring us back

Convenient and unpretentious. Painted Post is probably not a popular destination in its own right, but the Econo Lodge is reasonably priced, quiet, conveniently located for I86 for an overnight break on the trip from NY to Canada, with friendly reception, well-maintained; basic but comfortable.

Solo stay Room was nice and clean. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was included and ok. I had to leave before the breakfast area was opened and they allowed me to go in and get something. I stayed when there was a snow storm and the parking area and sidewalks were salted and cleaned off.

2-night stay in 2-rooms To start: nice person at front desk. Ok for the breakfast. other reviews said they changed it up everyday- no, that is NOT true and not a lot of breakfast items are offered. The location is fine. (not where we were looking and had no choice-as there was a race in the area- all other hotels were booked). The person that cleaned our rooms - did a good job. However, many reviews of this hotel were great. HOW??? The hotel does NOT have an elevator! How is this possible? My Mother just had her hip replaced two weeks prior to this visit and we were on the second floor! Our rooms door and bathroom doors would not close properly. Had to use the dead bolt to close the main door. There was a big dent in the wall behind our door too. My parents room shower head came right off the wall when they turned it. The only thing that looked remodeled was the floors of the rooms. That's it. There was no a/c in the hallways! In August! our a/c was not turned on in our room when we arrived. It was HOT!! I understand saving $- but, come on! Luckily, the a/c worked! The hotel itself is just dated. Period.
