Happy enough here Stayed here after landing at SF airport. I knew by the price I paid and the photos online what I would get. Yes it’s old but very clean. Breakfast was fine. More than enough to eat. Stayed here again on the night before going home. It’s 20 mins away from the airport. Close to Stanford University and Silicon Valley sites. I enjoyed my time here. Staff were super friendly. If you want the Ritz then be willing to pay 6 times the cost of a room here. For one night it was perfect Couldn’t here traffic noise when in room.

A Discomfort Inn I have stayed at many fine Comfort Inns over the years, but have never experienced one as poorly maintained as this one. Ripped curtains, peeling wallpaper everywhere, a mattress that must have been at least 20 years old (being only about 6 or 7 inches high and hard as a rock), a non-functioning TV and a ceiling light near the front door in the room that could be dimmed but could not be turned off, not to mention very old and dated furniture and threadbare carpeting — made for a very bad value at about $155 total. I thought Choice Hotels had standards for its Comfort Inns but this one must have slipped through the cracks. On top of that, the one desk clerk was nowhere to be seen when we arrived at 9 pm, so we couldn’t check in until she came back, about 20 minutes later (another couple had been waiting even longer). Terribly run place!

The Comfort Inn -- pretty comfortable The room was pretty clean. The tea was good. The coffee was not. Location was excellent ( close to the University). Check in and check out was a breeze. I wish breakfast would have more healthy options. Plenty of parking. The location is on the main road and could be noisy if window is open.

Adequate room in good location, but undisclosed daily surcharge?? This Comfort Inn features a location down the road from Stanford University. enough parking spaces, and simple hot breakfasts. With some apparent signs of wear & tear, this Comfort Inn shows its years, but the room interiors were adequately-maintained and clean. A possible (unwanted) surprise for guests involves the "Living Wage Surcharge" or $9.95 per night that the inn collects -- and seems to not be disclosed in advance to those booking through Choice Hotels (the parent entity for Comfort Inn).... Questions about what the surcharge was for and how the amount was determined could not be answered initially by the staff. A call to Choice Hotels suggested that even parent-entity Choice Hotels was not aware of the surcharge imposed by this particular Comfort Inn.

Rip Off Dump By far the trashiest hotel with a Comfort Inn sign I've seen. Place is dirty and falling apart. Wallpaper peeling, torn office chair, just not cleaned very well. My biggest complaint was that I booked over the phone - the guy jacked up the price from what was posted online saying he only had two rooms left, then charged me an extra $90 of taxes and fees without informing me. I found out about the exorbitant upcharge when I checked in late. The clerk at the hotel didn't know anything about it, had no actual record of my transaction and couldn't even cancel the booking. So beware the ripoff potential.
