Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Paragould by IHG

Nice stay Some positives and negatives here. So let’s start with the positives… Staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was good. Several yogurts including Chobani, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, pancake maker and some fresh fruit. The breakfast area was a nice space, clean and comfortable. A+. The hotel was clean and even though there seems to be some renovation work going on, there were no obvious unpleasant sights or sounds associated with the work during our stay. The hotel itself is not new and shows a little age, but there are design flaws that are a little off putting. The “lobby” is really small and cramped. Not a good first impression. The design of the room was also less then ideal with a cramped entrance area and an overall smallish feel. The beds were very comfortable and again everything was clean. Bathroom was fine. Great shower and I appreciated the shower gel, shampoo dispenser in the shower. Great solution that I had never seen before. We were just passing through, but if you’re here for a few days there is an amazing looking water park next door at the community center along with a nice playground. Not sure you can see it from the road or the hotel, but it’s in there. Also, not sure if you have to be a resident to use the pool area.

Needs renovation but clean and friendly employees. We stayed for 3 nights for a funeral. Rooms could definitely use some renovation but clean. Didn’t have any maid service but no problems getting towels exchanged. Everyone working there was very nice! Breakfast selection was great! I would definitely stay again.

Great value This Holiday Inn accepts pets and accommodated our request for 1st floor King. It was clean and spacious. The front desk staff was so helpful and friendly. Best room we had on our short vacation. Plenty of places to walk our dog. The pet fee was a reasonable 35.00. I would stay there again in a minute!

Bad behavior I came down from waterloo Illinois with my family who came from McHenry Illinois a entire 3 hour drive father then me . When I got there I was told they don't rent rooms to out of states. I just so happen to have been recording my 5 , 4 , and 3 year old so I cought it on tape . The manager refused to make it easy on me to get a room as my kids where overheated from the heat. So naturally I recorded my second and third visit there . The second one the same lady argued with me about out of state ppl renting rooms . This I know was not true as my family rented 4 different rooms and was still there . She finally rented me a room after I told her this with stern voice witch I never use , but again I was with my 3 babies and this time my newborn . The third one I let my husband do the renting as he is a cdl driver and deals with holiday inn all the time. She saw me walk past the front desk , but did not see where I went . I went to the bathroom to change kids into swimming suits. As I came out she had hurried to the back window to see where i went and where my car was as she gossiped about me to her staff . All on tape btw .. she suddenly released i was actually behind her and said can i help you ? I said quickly no! As i rushed my kids off so she didn't get loud in front of them again. This was a terrible place to stay and had it not been the only thing open with a pool due to covid, i would of never came back . We informed bellman trucking co. Who further passed the info on . Pet friendly For 18 years, I've been traveling with a little green parrot. No pets is a deal breaker. The staff made it clear that they were glad to accomodate the only parrot ever to work in the garages at Daytona International Speedway. Clean room with all the accessories expected at this level, Great breakfast. The shower was a litle awkward, but then I remembered that I was in a handicapped room, so it made sense.
