Very Nice People in Paragould and a Very Nice Hotel We were in Paragould for the eclipse, however, we had planned to stay at an Air B&B in Cobden, Illinois, but they cancelled at the last minute. We found that Paragould was in the path of totality and booked for one night at this hotel. Paragould has to be one of the nicest towns that we have ever visited. Everyone was so welcoming, including the staff at this hotel. Although, it was an older hotel, it was well maintained and the room was quite spacious. Breakfast, which was included, was very nice. I am sorry that I forgot swim trunks, because they have an indoor pool. If you are in Paragould, I would highly recommend the Quality Inn and Suites.

BED BUGS!! We found bed bugs so we confronted the front desk. They called the “manager” on duty. We asked for a refund, he stated that he could not give a refund but could offer us enough points for a free room. We asked why we’d want to come back knowing this location had bed bugs. We asked for the corporate information and he said it wasn’t a corporate hotel so we asked for contact information for the owner, followed up with “I am the owner”. Rather than apologizing or making the situation right, he then blamed us stating we are the reason for the bed bugs as we brought them. This so called business man was EXTREMELY rude and actually followed us back to our room huffing and puffing then made the comment he wouldn’t be refunding us or giving us any points since we contaminated his location. Told him that was fine, we’d be sharing our experience with every booking agency online as well as corporate and the health department. There was (3) families in (3) separate rooms!

Wonderful experience Large well-apportioned room. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. The room had both an interior door and an exterior door--I was able to park right outside my room! Breakfast was simple but had both hot food and continental offerings. Overall a great experience. Will definitely book again next time through.

Not that great This place needs a major overhaul . The room I had looked like it hasn't been touched since the late 70s early 80s will the ugly carpet and furniture. The love seat pull out bed looked like something really heavy fell on it ,all bowed down in the middle and leaning back like the legs were missing . Also the cigarette burn marks on all the furniture in the bathtub. The lighting was very dingy and dim there's a mid wall keeping one side of the room cold all night because the heater doesn't work all that great and it's like 50 degrees when I first walked in the room. Took about 20 minutes to get the hot water to turn hot. The ceiling tiles they use in the bathroom look like they've been up there for at least 20 years the exhaust vent look like something that might cause a fire . And the constant leaking faucet in the bathtub was just annoying

Nice Overnight Stay This was a nice hotel for an overnight stay. The room was huge but very odd. It had both interior and exterior corridors with entrances at both. The ice -machine was broken, so we had no ice. The bathroom was also spacious and we had enough room for our toiletries. The breakfast was fine and the location was good for us.
