Amazing memories We had an amazing stay at Sundial Lodge, remembering working in the area about 20 years ago and being our dream to stay in a brand new hotel back in the days. Mixed Bag at the Sundial It pains me to write this belated review. I've been a long time guest at the Sundial both in winter and summer. In the past my family and I have been treated well, had great rooms and had wonderful experiences. Trent at the front desk has always been a standout for service. My most recent attempted stay was horrendous. When we arrived our room wasn't ready. We opted to walk across the plaza for a quick bite. Four hours later we arrived to a room that clearly hadn't been cleaned. I had the misfortune of dealing with an obviously drunk (or high) front desk agent named Josh. He couldn't give us a decent explanation or solution for the dirty room. He was incredibly rude in his inebriated state and left my sister in tears with his aggressive behavior. We opted to stay at the Pendry instead of dealing with Josh's disgusting behavior. He claimed to be the GM, Vail would be well served to replace him with someone professional without substance issues/use while on the job. I hope any future attempts to stay will be like our previous stays where we had clean rooms, nice views and great service.

Disappointed Stay The room fell far short of expectations and was quite disappointing. The front desk staff seemed uninterested in addressing the issues we faced. The bed was uncomfortable, and the room had almost no lighting. Additionally, the lack of staff availability for a late-night check-in added to the frustration. Having stayed at various properties over the years, this experience was particularly unsatisfactory.

Perfect stay Loved staying here. The condo was so comfortable. It felt like home. The staff was helpful. The location is great. Everything was very clean and well stocked. Fast Track close by is a great place to get breakfast before starting your busy day.

Lacking in consistent quality control rooms. I booked for a month in a large one bedroom. The room was fine, but the moment I stepped in I noticed a bad odor. They said it just needed to be aired out and air filters changed. Well a week later it still stunk and finally maintenance admitted to the smell of oil frying from the nearby restaurant affecting the room. They knew it was a problem and still rented out this unit before fixing it...and for a month! I am still waiting for a resolution for over a week now as there is not a lot of options to change as it gets busy. I stayed previously and had a fine experience in a different room. So the bottom line, be careful when booking because of high levels of inconsistencies in the rooms.
