Disgusting Property and Rude Manager! My wife and I reserved a King Bed, Non Smoking room for 2 nights arriving on 9/28/24. We used United Airlines Rewards points and an additional $120.00 for the stay. When we arrived at about Noon from our 5 hour drive, knowing we were there earlier then check in, we noticed the parking area was "seedy" and the pool was empty! I still went in and asked about early check in. I did wait about 3 minutes for someone to even appear in the lobby behind the plastic window. It was most likely the man who managed or owned the place. Making a long story short, he said he did not have anything ready. I mentioned that on a Friday morning with about 24 units, it was surprising that they were full on Thursday and nothing was available. I asked since the pool was empty and that was one of the reasons we booked there he might at least make an exception.. No interest at all! Because of his attitude and the way the property looked I had lost interest in staying anyway and said I would like to cancel. He said that's fine. I said good. Then he said I needed to call United rewards since he couldn't cancel it himself. I left and went to the car. My wife said that after seeing the kind of condition of the parking area and people walking around she would NOT stay there. I spent about 25 minutes in the car trying to get through to United and some run around but did get through. He came up to the car and indicated that he had a room we could look at. I waved him off since I was on the phone. I say where the room was and the people coming and going from that area as I sat on the phone and would not even want to go see the room. Finally, United said they would cancel the booking but I would lose the points. I said fine keep them but since they had advertised this kind of property I would deal with them later and that it might be a good idea for them to check the kind of partners they were doing business with, that I would call them once home. We drove to the Embassy Suite and that was the greatest decision we could have made. Clean room and property, Pool and spa that were open, Managers Reception, etc. We will speak with United today and if need be, end our 38 year credit card with them...this is about principal not points. WE WOULD NEVER EVER PULL EVEN INTO THE LA CASA LOT IN THE FUTURE. BE ONO NOTICE........ quality and cleanliness and keeping a word are first and foremost. The man there needs to realize that. Beware of La Casa Inn!!! I can say you have been warned.

A solid, inexpensive option The price to quality ratio seems right at this hotel. It's no frills, but it's clean, the bed was comfortable, check in/check out was easy, the wifi is strong, and the area is relatively safe. The one major downside that I noticed is that the walls are very thin, and the couple next door was arguing until past midnight - and not that loudly; they wren't shouting, they were just arguing, and I could hear pretty much every word. So bring earplugs.
