Newly renovated hotel with nice staff This hotel is in a good location, right outside of the craziness of Houston and close to the major highways and restaurants. It is undergoing renovations to the lobby, so patience is needed, but our room was nice and new. My only complaint is one that I have with almost all Hilton properties - I called ahead the day before to request no feather bedding (due to allergies), and they noted it on our reservation. It was also noted that we have 4 guests in the room. However, when we got there, there was still feather bedding in the room, there was no bedding for the sofa bed, and there were not enough towels for all of us. Took some time to resolve the issue at the front desk, but the staff on duty were apologetic and friendly and accommodated us as much as possible. Definitely a nice hotel to stay at but do not expect any special housekeeping requests to get translated to the actual team members.

Christmas Vacation at Hampton Stayed for Christmas and Christmas experienced the best customer service ever. The room we stayed is new and very clean. The staff are the most friendly and asset to this hotel. Very professionals and greeted as sir and ma’am as we enter the lobby.

Bad management, dilapidated hotel We had the worst experience with their customer service. The manager, Richmond Fiesta, is awful. We reserved a room two months ago for my elderly mother for Christmas and paid upfront in full. We also checked the box and entered her name on the website for her to be able to check in on her own. Upon check-in, she was told she could not check in without me present. My mom FaceTimed us while standing at the front desk. We were on our way home from a 24 hr drive from Utah. I spoke with the worker directly and showed her my license and credit card that I had used to book the room in order to authorize the check in. The worker attempted to take a picture of both my credit card and drivers license with her personal cell phone as proof. Of course, I did not allow this. She refused to let my mom check in. We asked to speak with her manager, Richmond, who was supposed to be on duty, but was not present, nor was he answering his phone. Eventually, we made our way way home and over to the hotel. I checked my mom in digitally and was able to get her into her room. Meanwhile, I got on the phone with Richmond. He was a total jerk. For a manager, this guy skipped customer service class. He called me a liar when I told him I had added her name to the reservation. He was aggressive, accusatory, and came across as totally inconpetent. His only solution was for us to go somewhere else. At the same time, we called the corporate offices of Hilton. They were appalled at the behavior, and created a case. They said my mom absolutely should have been able to check in. They were able to see her name on the reservation. They also could not understand why the manager was so incompetent. It was a stressful and totally inappropriate experience. As you can see in other reviews, the hotel is poorly managed. As a sidenote, the hotel is dilapidated, and the rooms are in serious need of updating. The beds were horrible. Not a positive experience with Hilton. One other sidenote: couldn’t help and notice that one of the only five star reviews here is from a R. Fiesta, the manager himself. Figures. _

Still under reconstruction over 2 months past finish date We stayed here while in town for a wedding. When we walked in, we were surprised they had signs up apologizing for "6 months" construction that started early May...this was last weekend in December?!? It looked like they had several more months work ahead of them. We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the updated rooms, however our mini frig. sat "wonky", hated the pillows & bathroom sliding door was very difficult to open. The bathroom fan was SUPER loud & didn't have a separate switch, so it came on every time you turned on the light. I don't understand why they didn't install a separate fan switch- especially when getting up during the night to use the bathroom & that LOUD fan comes on waking everyone else in the room?!? Our room was clean, but only 2 tissues in the box- we had to go steal a box off the housekeeping cart. Their free breakfast was excellent with eggs, sausage, French toast sticks, make your own waffles, breads, pastries, yogurt, juice & coffee. Restaurant area under construction so moved to a conference room. Will probably be nice when finished, but probably not up to normal Hilton standards & ADD A SEPARATE FAN SWITCH in the bathroom!!!

Needs some work. Hotel was in a remodel and needed it. Room was a bit run down. toilet seat was broken. They did repair it. Free breakfast was disappointing. Entire facility and stay was not up to usual Hampton Inn standards.
