Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Pella, IA

Overpriced for a mediocre motel Overall I thought this motel was rather high priced for what you got. The rooms aren't anything special. I recently stayed in a much better motel in Moline Illinois that was $50 a night less than this place. Unless you really have a need to stay in Pella, I would drive up the road to Des Moines which is only about a half hour away and get a lot better motel selection and quality at a lower price.

Terrible experience Check in took 30 minutes. When got to the room, it was stopped in the middle of being cleaned. Sounded like the whole first level got half cleaned and then the cleaning crew just checked out and left. Was moved to a new room which was clean and in decent shape. Food was ok. Went to check out at 11am (check out time) and waited at the front desk for over 20 minutes. Called the front desk multiple times. Had housekeeping go looking for Heather. She was no where to be found. When I finally gave up and left, I met her outside walking from the east side of the building. She told me she got 'locked out' which I know to be a total lie as the 2 housekeepers and myself walked all around the perimeter of the building and she was not there. When I told her I needed to check out she said 'no you don't need me for that' To which I informed her when I had a discrepancy with my bill I need to talk to someone. She was rude and very unprofessional. I will never stay at this location again, and I guarantee you there were others I encountered in the lobby while I was waiting for her that told me the same thing. That it was the worst experience they have ever had there and they will not be back.

Great stay Quick and efficient check in. My room was very clean. I stayed for two nights. Breakfast was provided each morning. Hot items were different each day. The attendant was efficient, but not very personable. A decent hotel. I would stay again, if I was in the area. Easy to get downtown and back.

Reprehensible customer care on all counts Staff was very unwelcoming upon check in, as well as a phone call prior to check in time to inquire about the possibility of availability for early check in. Stayed during a very emergent family situation, and when misplacement of room keys occurred during the flurry of activity during that situation, staff member rolled eyes, was abrupt when asked to please issue a replacement set of room keys for us and very begrudgingly did so. Upon calling the front desk early on the morning when the urgent family emergency was rapidly coming to its inevitable end, there was no answer at front desk during 4 calls with 10 rings being allotted on each call attempt to inquire about the possibility of late check out in order to allow for a much quicker exit from the facility that morning. We ended up having to very haphazardly pack before heading to the facility of the culmination with the urgent family emergency, with nobody down at the front desk period. This particular property appears to blatantly ignore each trait that Radisson hotel group states they strive to impart upon their guests. We absolutely will not be back, nor will we ever recommend the Pella location to anyone. We also will no longer look to book with any Radisson properties moving forward, and encouraging others to do the same if considering doing so.

Safe, clean place to stay with good amenities Clean, modern rooms with free wi-fi. Pool, hot tub, sauna in pool area. Small fitness room. Guest laundry. Good location, minutes from downtown and Central College. Well lit parking. Friendly staff. Good free breakfast with waffles. Enjoyed our stay!
