Great problem solving by manager. Red Roof Inn was comfortable, clean, and well-located. What really stood out was the responsiveness of the hotel manager, Isabel Urguizo, in resolving an issue we reported. She resolved the issue promptly and to our satisfaction. We would stay there again when in the area.

Rude Service/Sketchy Surroundings The room was decent enough for what I expected but the bathroom needed work & the shower leaked all over the floor. I made sure the cheap paper thin shower curtains were in the shower but it barely helped. I asked for a late checkout for 12pm & was informed $35 would come out of the deposit so I declined. At 831pm tonight (4/8), I called to inform them that I left my phone at checkout. The woman who answered said it would be locked in the managers office & that they were gone for the day. I asked if she could have them call me & she reluctantly said she “could ask”. I told her they should call me if they have my property. She started responding saying, “well if you left your phone”…as if to say it was my fault & not their problem. I asked for her name & she refused to give it. Extremely unprofessional & untrustworthy behavior. Also a lot of “activity” in the area. It’s not far from downtown so it was not shocking but be mindful.

Stay away!!! Property is full of "non-guests". This hotel is horrible. There is a Motel 6 next to this hotel that either houses illegals and/or temporary homeless who hang out in the Red Roof parking lot and routinely come into the hotel to use their facilities. One person in our party was accosted and threatened with violence in this hotel by a group of homeless in an attempt to get money. Don't walk your dog after dark alone anywhere outside because non-guests are always hanging out around the hotel. I tried to walk my dog across the street in a vacant lot but I found that lot full of discarded clothes, food containers and other potentially hazardous material. Some of the exterior door locks don't lock after 9:00 PM (the hotel says they do) which allow non-guests entry into the hotel at all hours of the evening. The evening hotel security is basically useless and they just sit at their desk at the front door and play on their phone. This hotel doesn't serve a breakfast and I was told that is because too many of the "non-guests" would take the breakfast leaving none for the paying guests. We stayed in this hotel for two night in February and the first night we came back from our event to find two police cruisers in the parking lot hauling someone away to jail. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere to stay and I wish I could give this hotel 0/5 stars.

Unacceptable Front counter employee is really nice but this place is disgusting. Not a well lit area so the parking structure is dark and the room smelled of smoke even after i purchased a non smoking room. Checked in and immediately regretted my decision. Went to the front counter to as for a cancelation and no one was at the desk. I waited for several minutes no one came by I left the keys at the desk and left the location. Called next day in which I was told refund was not able to be given because I had gone through Expedia to book so room. Spoke to Expedia and according to them they couldn't get ahold of anyone at the hotel so they could not refund me anything. Complete headache. Do not book here.
