Don't judge a book by it's cover.. Hotel was being renovated (which it needed badly), the renovation project looked very unorganized and unprofessional, there was very little parking when the hotel was full and what there was of it was very hard to maneuver in, especially in a bigger vehicle....even without the construction! The actual rooms on the other hand were updated and very clean!!! Was pleasantly surprised with how nice they were!!

Construction in progress-no breakfast-unwelcoming desk agent Lets talk about this property. I booked this through my Southwest Rapid Rewards so I could earn points. I booked this hotel on September 21, 2020 for a stay on October 15-18, 2021. I try and be diligent about researching the hotels amenities and such. I specifically try and book hotels that have some sort of free breakfast included, and on the SW Rapid rewards site it indicated that his property did have a free breakfast. I should also mention that booking dot com does the booking for the Southwest Rapid rewards Program. Currently also on that website, it does show that there is a free breakfast. So the fees for the reservation were deducted from my credit card on September 21, 2021. Upon arrival we noticed that the hotel was under construction. No big deal so we thought. First thing out of the desk clerks mouth is that they are under construction, parking is scarce and there is no breakfast with a quick follow up to…”we can refund your money to your card and give you the option to stay elsewhere if you like”. Really? Pigeon Forge is BUSY this time of year and we all know it takes 5-10 business days for $$ to be refunded to your card so basically we were stuck. I mentioned to him that I had not received notification of the changes to no breakfast or the construction and said that was because I booked through a 3rd party and it was the 3 party responsibility to notify me. Whatever. So from now on I guess we have to call each property and make sure that all the amenities listed are actually still offered. Also, we were notified that there would be NO maid service to the rooms during our stay. We could place our own trash outside the doors and bring our dirty towels to the from desk and get fresh ones. That would have also been nice to know. Oh well at least we didn’t have to leave a tip for our maid. It seems like the owners are attempting to make some really nice upgrades and renovations to the property which should be a good thing. They seem to have paid for some high-quality products such as Kohler bathtub, tile flooring, chrome fixtures etc. However, the quality of the workmanship from the contractor leaves much to be desired. Small things that most people would overlook would be patched holes above the vanity mirror and unpatched holes above the vanity mirror. Seems like they installed anchors for the mirror only to discovery that was too close to the light fixture and had to lower them. Did the remove the anchors and appropriately patch those holes? Nah contractor just left them. Those are below the light fixture, which is crooked. The basin is a nice basin but too tall for me and I am 5’4”. The water pipes underneath and installed from the side and not the back which prevents use of the underneath shelf on the right side. The bathtub is a brand new Kohler brand very night with non slip strips on the bottom. the shower head is a large round rain type one and also very nice. The faucet and drain not so much. The drain is the raise and twist kind, however, the drain plate is designed for a lever action raise and lower drain but it is missing the lever. This is probably due to the contractor taking short cuts. The faucet when raised to use the shower doesn’t always work property and water still releases from the faucet. This creates a problem for adjusting the temperature of the water so do that before you get into the shower. The toilet handle sticks and causes the toilet to run so be sure and double check that when using. The toilet itself is not properly anchored to the floor and moves from side to side. There were ceiling tiles that had fallen or had been removed from above the ice machines on the 4th floor. One of the ice machines were not working. The refrigerator had a hole in the top plastic part of the door and had white medical tape over it. It did not affect the functioning of the refrigerator at all. It worked really well during the stay. The pillows are absolutely a dream and the beds were comfy. Television was smaller than we like but it worked very well and had LOTS of channels available. the USB plugs on the wall unit for the lights between the beds did not work but there was an additional square thing added which did work but it was simply in the way due to the husband and I each having a CPAP machine made for a tight fit. The worst thing to deal with though was the parking. There are building materials, scaffolding and dumpers taking up several parking spaces at the property reducing the number available for guests. We were in town for a 3 day music festival at LeConte Center and after arriving late in the evening each night, there were literally only 1 parking spot left each night. The first night, we had to park in the first parking spot on the second driveway entrance. This is at such an angle that it is unsafe to exit the vehicle if you are driving. the second night, we parked underneath parking in the second driveway and we had to maneuver into a space by a huge pylon and there was a sink hole under where the driver had to exit the vehicle. This property is located close to a LOT of things to do. There is a Dollar General right in front in case you forgot something at home, a Hardees within walking distance and behind the property is Momma’s Farmhouse which we did not try this time, but they were busy, so I assume it is probably a good place to eat. I feel like the property could have had a breakfast but chose not to and I was disappointed in the response from the front desk of offering a refund knowing that most properties were already booked and I would have had to have gotten a hotel several miles away from the venue with the event we were attending.

BEWARE! This is still a Super 8. Don’t let the “renovations” fool you. Lipstick on a pig. Which as of October 17, they are in the middle of reno so parking & services are limited, place is a mess, and noisy. Our room was supposedly completed. Looked good, but not clean. Plumbing very out dated & slow. Linens cheap & stained. And, don’t pull the mattress cover back. It is a good location for Dollywood or Pigeon Forge shopping, but much better surrounding choices. And, they charge the same inflated seasonal weekend prices as all the others. I never take the time to write a review, but I was astounded reading the positive reviews of this place. Not sure where those people were. I didn’t even mention the staff & lack of professionalism.

Very noisey said at five it would stop but they didn't couldn't get parking because of construction workers truck over hours. Really didn't want to deal with it
