Not a good experience This was a poor experience at a Hampton Inn. The room was dirty, with food wrappers on the floor. The blackout curtains were falling off the window; the rod and curtain were detached from the sliding mechanism, leaving a gap. The alarm clock was in poor condition, with no knob to adjust the incorrect time.

Not a good place to stay, unfriendly staff, and outdated hotel. I thought this hotel was just OK. I just had a experience I have never had before. I got called from the front desk saying Cooperate says I have something plugged into the TV. I did not, but they insisted, and sent the GM up to my room. She verified nothing was plugged into the tv. My question to the general public is, if I bring a device to use, say a Roku or Google TV, why is that a problem? Their built in interface is slow and painful to use. Multiple clicks to do one thing. I usually don't write negative reviews, but I would avoid this hotel at all costs. Like others have said, the staff seems pissed off to be here, no one greets you with a smile, or acknowledges you are there. I asked housekeeping on the first day I was here for shampoo, and it took the GM coming to my room to check on my TV to get it, on my last night.

Housekeeping, cleaning staff need training Staff was okay, but hallways uninviting with wallpapers showing obvious scrapes all over. Then when we unpacked into room, we first found leftover food from prior occupant in fridge. Later, when I opened microwave to warm something, I found a chicken wing inside, laying directly on the turntable. HOW DOES HOUSEKEEPING COMPLETELY MISS SUCH OBVIOUS ITEMS? GROSS! Mentioned the fridge issue to night desk person, who said he'd report it to housekeeping supervisor. Mentioned microwave filth, with photo, to morning receptionist. She also said she'd report it. At check out, she had given us a small discount, although I explained I wasn't looking for that at all, just wanted them to be aware. At breakfast (good), I went to look for a table for the two of us to sit at. There were about 5 available, but every one was dirty with coffe/milk puddles and crumbs or papers. No one was cleaning tables (yes, guests should clear, but wiping down tables should be a focus of staff). No one attended to this for at least 15 minutes while people arrived continuously. The staff needs to do better.

Would not recommend.... Pros: Location is right off the highway and close enough to the airport and downtown. Free parking, friendly staff, and breakfast was decent. Cons: Front entrance needs cleaning and the ground needs to be powerwashed! Trash can was full and unsightly. The public areas and the room was "muggy". It had been raining and it felt as is the moisture soaked into the walls of the building. The A/C had to be turned up high to bring the muggy feeling down, but then the room would be freezing. Sofa in the room (314) could use a cleaning and the cushions were so soft you sank when you sat down. Housekeeping did a sloppy job of cleaning the room for our arrival: there was a dirty towel hanging behind the door in the bathroom, one of the towels on the rack appeared to be used, like someone washed their hands and dried them on the towel. Bed was uncomfortable! Furniture in the breakfast area could use a good scrubbing too! We've stayed here before and it was fine. This trip, the condition of the facility was a real turn off and I highly doubt we'll return.
