Weekend Visit While the weather outside was cold and rainy, the warm sunny dispositions of everyone we encountered inside more than made up for it. From the pleasant front desk staff who checked us in and answered our questions, to the barista who kept her calm while dealing with some overly rude inconsiderate people, to the kind housekeeper who helped us get some extra towels, each and every person we dealt with was just so friendly and professional! Shout out to Paul and Kevin and Suzi - during these trying Covid times, their staff absolutely rocks! We can't wait to return later this summer to take the Gateway Clipper over to see some baseball at beautiful PNC Park.

Below Par The best I can say is the view was nice and the bartender was nice. The pool was closed for renovation. The gift shop and starbucks were closed during the week. No daily room cleaning. Had to continuely ask for towels. $30 a day to park. There was a wedding and they seemed to require most of the staffs attention. I also didn't get points for my stay because they said I booked through a third party but I used the number on the Sheraton website. We left a day early because I was so disappointed and my son was bored.

Major Disappointment! Bar closed. Restaurant closed. Pool empty. No maid service??? No coffee maker in room. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS HOTEL?? When I called to make reservations I should have been told then that there were literally NO amenities!! My husband and I, along with at least 5 or 6 other family members were staying there for a memorial service. It was going to be like a family reunion. It would have been lovely to get together in a great hotel with at the very least a restaurant or bar!! Imagine our surprise when we checked in and found NOTHING! Apparently this hotel had been closed during covid for some time - THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD TIME TO DO REMODELING!!!! Never have we been so disappointed in what used to be an upscale hotel. At the very least they could have offered us a discount. Especially after upon making the reservations I specified that I needed a hypo-allergenic room (NO FEATHERS). I also double checked this a couple days before. When we checked in the person that checked us in said it was noted but it wasn't done. UGH. So at 8pm the manager went up and changed out the bedding. HOWEVER, what she did was take our blanket (so we didn't have one) and replace the pillows with more feather pillows.....WHAT???? The next day when my husband woke up completely stuffed up and miserable he had to call down to get the bedding changed AGAIN. Ridiculous! I don't understand how this Sheraton at Station Square hotel is currently open. And I find it interesting that when I initially made the reservations - I believe I was speaking to a manager (Kevin D.). I should have been informed. I would be happy to speak to someone from this hotel (or corporate) about our extremely disappointment experience.

Excellent Customer Service I am a Lifetime Platinum Elite with Starwood and now Marriott. I have spent thousands of nights in hotels around the world. I experienced one of the best expressions of customer service when Alex, the front desk supervisor, was quick to make excellent decisions to rectify an unfortunate situation during a recent stay. Alex did not flinch and took great care of of me, my wife & daughter and beloved pooch Goose. Alex is an asset to the property and turned our stay from less than satisfactory to outstanding. It always comes down to people and customer service - thank you Alex!

Great location and view but where’s the coffee Great location near the Duquesne incline and downtown. Awesome large picture window in room w view of river, trains, skyline. True sense of Pittsburgh in that room. Was incredibly scenic. Comfy quiet rooms, nice lobby bar. BUT WHERE WAS MY MORNING COFFEE. With GREAT alarm, I awoke to find no coffee machines in rooms. I went downstairs assuming a coffee source only to find a very long slow line at the Starbucks w one employee there. I asked at the front desk for an explanation - the coffee makers in rooms removed because they’re ‘hi-touch items’ I asked if they served complimentary coffee somewhere or if the pub served coffee. Nope. Tho they did suggest a buffet nearby where I might get coffee :/ So I waited 40 minutes at the Starbucks - which had one employee, no large cups, no half and half, and a Starbucks employee working very hard in a very unreasonable situation for her. Lots of very angry coffee addicts. High marks for hotel location and room, low marks for any hotel doesn’t realize importance of convenient coffee for guests.
