Great price and location and helpful friendly staff all round. Firstly the rate for a twin in the centre of town was excellent . Hotel was clean throughout and the staff at both reception and in the bar were incredibly friendly. Basic room but clean and welcoming , tea coffee , biscuits. Free parking till April here too . Very pleasant stay .

Clean Stay I have been staying here for 4 days after visiting my daughter in an area of Plymouth. The staff are very friendly and the rooms exquisitely clean and very happy with my stay so far, I have another 10 days to go.. However, I'm very happy with me and my wife staying here for now. Lovely place.

Excellent staff - Rachel in particular Whilst the hotel needs updating the staff were exceptional. Rachel in particular was so warm and friendly and brightened my day. She has helpful and cheerful. An asset to the Copthorne Hotel. Would stay again once the refurbishment is complete.

Great Location, Tired Hotel Copthorne Hotel Plymouth – Honest Review We stayed at the Copthorne Hotel in Plymouth for one night while visiting the university, and while the location was ideal, the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful, and having onsite parking was convenient. The bed was comfortable enough for a night’s sleep, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment. The decor is tired, and our bathroom even had a sock left on the back of the door—suggesting that housekeeping isn’t as thorough as it should be. There’s no air conditioning, and the overhead fan, which was the only cooling option, looked like it was about to fall apart when switched on. The TV only had terrestrial channels, and the pillows were poor quality, though the mattress itself was decent. Outside, there’s a lot of building work going on, which adds to the general feeling that this isn’t the most relaxing place to stay. That said, if you just need somewhere to sleep for a night, it does the job. The highlight of our visit was actually the Early Bird café nearby, which we’d definitely recommend for breakfast. Overall, fine for a short stay if location is your priority, but don’t expect much in terms of comfort or modern facilities.
