Almost A Great Stay The location is somewhat hidden, and the sign at the road isn't very noticeable, so we drove right past the hotel and had to double back. Our room was nice. And clean... mostly. I know the environment here is fairly humid, but it's possible to keep a bathroom mold-free anyway, and ours wasn't. The sink's drain couldn't keep up; that's relatively easy to fix. So I'm at 4 stars instead of 5. The bed was comfortable enough, but I chose the wrong pillow - didn't realize until morning that the two were different. I chose "bean bag", and should have chosen "firm" (I'm a side sleeper). It's not the hotel's fault that the folks across the hall got in after midnight and spent a fair amount of time loudly going in and out, but I do wish the doors stopped sound better. Would we stay again? Yes - hoping they'll see this review and redouble efforts to keep the bathrooms clean and the drains draining.

All Enjoyed Their Stay Holiday Inn Express rarely disappoints and this one is no different. At check in, they have free bottles of water, suckers, and mints to welcome you. Our room was clean and tended to while we were out and about. The breakfast had a good selection. The staff was kind and patient with everyone. The pool area was just right for an evening to relax. Our group rented 4 rooms and all went well. The one thing that needs work is the landscaping. It is overgrown and needs some TLC.

Staying in Ponca City for 146th Ponca Celebration Pow Wow We came here as a first stop on this vacation because I have always wanted to go to a Pow Wow in the Midwest, and this 146th was for the "Fancy Dance World Championships". It was amazing watching both the women and men dancers doing their traditional and specialty dances. Note: there are different tribe Pow Wow's all over the country. As for the hotel, I knew from prior reviews here that it is old but the best one available. The desk employee Sharon Eubanks is very knowledgeable about the area because she has lived here for a very long time so ask here about where to go. The room, floor, bathroom, towels, the AC vents (we still sterilize due to covid) and overall hotel was clean. My bed had a slight sag to it but my husbands was fine. The free breakfast had certain items scheduled for each day, but the food was good. We toured The Marland Estate, very interesting (he was Governor of Oklaoma at one time) and we also went to Ponca Lake area which was a beautiful even though the lake has a very rocky bottom in the swimming area. Oh.....and the wind turbines....they are everywhere, and they go on forever and ever!

Nice hotel in a quiet area This hotel met all our expectations. We reserved the room with additional living space and it was very spacious. Check in was easy and the front desk clerk was very friendly upon check in. Hotel is close to restaurants, museum, pioneer girl statue and all that Ponca City has to offer! The pool looked nice and we were told there was a hot tub outside but we didn’t use (because it was cold and snowing) I would recommend this hotel if you’re ever in the area.
