Nice room, nice staff Check-in staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable with good soft pillows. The shower was clean and had shampoo/conditioner, with great pressure, and the pool was a welcome sight after a long travel day..

Love this hotel every time I visit Poplar Bluff. Thank You to all the staff and management for making me have another great stay with you. I have come to your town many times over the last few years and love coming to the hotel. Always well-kept and the breakfast buffet is the best.

Poplar Bluff Holiday inn- going downhill fast Was there 5/26 and 5/27, the first room had a problem when i turned on the shower, the handle fell off and would not stay on. When I called the front desk I was told maintenance would not be in till late that afternoon so they would move us to a room across the hall. The new room we were given had a problem with the bathroom commode when I tried to flush it the chain was so rusty it broke off so it could only be flushed by sticking your hand in the water tank manually. It was after 10 pm when this happened so I didn’t call for maintenance since they didn’t come to fix the problem with the first room. When I checked out I explained this to the uncaring clerk and she offered no compensation. I spent $275 for 2 nites and felt they should have reimbursed at least 1 nite for such terrible service. I have stayed here many times and this is the worst it’s ever been. We will be choosing Fairfield Marriott from now on!

A great stay at this Holiday Inn As always this hotel was top notch. In fact there had been a problem with my booking online indicating I would be there a day earlier. When I got it the following morning, I called them directly and the desk clerk took care of me switching it to the right night without any issues. During my stay everything was wonderful from checking in to checking out. This hotel offers a great breakfast including buffet style. Lobby is always in great shape and this include the lobby restrooms near the restaurant that you don't even have to be a guest to visit. In fact, I have met a few locals who come to the restaurant on more than one of my trips here. Love this place and it is among my top IHG Holiday Inns that I stay at. If you want a great comfortable, clean and friendly place, then this is the hotel in Poplar Bluff to stay.

Staff is nice, hotel is nasty The staff is very friendly, but the room was old, outdated, and dirty. The carpets in the room, corridor and hallways were filthy and stained. Even the bench in the room was heavily stained. I’m not sure if the new thing is to turn the sheets inside out to simply save money but I’ve noticed this in two other hotels. There was a spider on the toilet and the bathroom shower didn’t appear clean. Although there is a card on the table saying if you’re unhappy with the cleaning to contact them, cleaning the glass on the windows should be the first thing that is addressed as you notice the window and light when you enter the room. I felt dirty and grungy in this hotel. The restaurant staff were very friendly as well. The food was ok for a continental breakfast.
