Barbara's breakfast is the best! Barbara, who setup and cooked breakfast did a wonderful job! She made us feel so special and was so friendly and sweet. We can't wait to go back again so we can see Barbara! She made our day! The hotel was very clean and we loved the bed linens. We had a great night's sleep!

DO NOT PREPAY FOR THIS HOTEL We booked a 4 night stay through Expedia, July 20th to 23rd 2024, and were told at kiosk check in that we could extend or reduce the number of days, and be refunded for them, as long as we gave 24 hours notice. Something came up and we notified hotel and Expedia that we needed to leave one day early and gave advance notice. Expedia has informed me, in writing, that Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda has refused to refund our prepaid money for that day, even though they had advance notice. In my view, they stole $80.00 from me. Also, one of the main reasons we chose this hotel is that they list having a fitness center and show photos of it on their web site. They do not. It was eliminated in the past, but still listed on web site. FALSE ADVERTISING. FRAUD? I will be making a consumer complaint with proper authorities.

Satisfactory Comfort Inn and suites Punta Gorda As we walked to our room along the hallway carpet, it was dirty and stained, as was the tile in front of the elevators. We opened the door to our room and got attacked by the bathroom door, which was left open. How odd the way they arranged those doors so you can’t walk through, you had to reach in and close the bathroom door in order to open the room door. The beds were comfortable and the polyester sheets looked clean, though I would prefer cotton sheets. The shower was hot and looked clean as well. The bathroom was big enough.

Clean and comfortable. Stayed here for just one night on our way home from Florida. The facility and the room were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Even the pillows were nice. Typical breakfast for this type of motel. View of small, pretty lake from the breakfast room. We saw a great blue heron visiting the lake. I would reccomend for a short stay.

Appreciated the extended breakfast with not just carbs The Breakfast and was appreciated and good. At least they offered more than just carbohydrates and even night owls and American breakfast lovers like me are able to get an extended breakfast. The staff was friendly but did not understand me. I have a cognitive disability which makes it hard for me to navigate through things. The room assigned was upper floor and had an old dirty carpet and the AC unit was full of pet hair and old dust. The room smelled very bad and I had to sleep with the AC off. The hallway also had an old dirty carpet. I asked if I can have 1st floor room without carpet and they said no. There was no real seating area outside for smokers - just an unsecured area where coyotes howled nearby. This hotel needs updating and areas for people with disabilities and/or who are allergic I guess.
