Sleep Inn & Suites Port Clinton

Customer service has really declined at this property I have stayed at this property many times. For some reason this last time was extremely expensive. What was really irritating beyond the cost, was the breakfast. After three days it did not change. Not only that, but the woman running the breakfast did not care to refill the waffle mix after 8:30 AM. Mind you breakfast went till 10 AM. if you go here, plan on an early breakfast in order to get what you might want to eat. Also, for the money, it really is not worth it. I hate to say that, but it’s true.

Clean & comfortable Room was clean & equipped with standard amenities such as a fridge & microwave, although the furnishings are a bit worn. Water pressure and temperature were adequate, as was bed & pillow comfort. Location is great, being within striking distance of most attractions in the area, although the noise from the train is quite loud. I myself am a heavy sleeper so it didn't keep me awake but I can certainly see how someone who needs more quiet would have a difficult time here.

Not top star even for a Sleep Inn Where to start… When I checked in, I waited probably about 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk. An older man came down and had to wake up the man in the back room by hollering at him. He helped him and then helped me, I asked about late check out. He stood there and told me this story about how “This hotel” doesn’t do late check out and etc. Had me sign two papers and one of them it clearly stated that if you wanted late check up it had to be approved but management. I asked him about it and he said oh and laughed in my face well you can try but they NEVER give late check out. We get to the room it smells like perfume like someone else had been in it. It was a queen bed when we booked a KING. Also there is no microwave… We were supposed to be on the first floor and he placed us on the third. The next day we were hanging out in the room and the lamp was going in and out and would go out for over a minute and then go back on. Not sure why.. I have stayed at over 10-15 Choice Hotels and I am definitely sure I will not be coming back to this one. I will definitely make sure that I let everyone I know it this area to stay away.

We enjoyed every bit of it! The staff was very helpful, and ready to fix us up with everything we asked. The rooms were very clean and sound proof. If we are ever in the area again we will check them out. Had a great breakfast also!

Nice for a weekend get away! My husband and I stayed here 2 nights to visit Put in Bay. Clean hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast, and our room had everything we needed for a short weekend trip. It’s location is very close to food and the ferry. Would definitely stay here again!
