Hampton Inn & Suites Port Richey

Emergency stay Was flooded out of my addition and had to get a room at the last minute. Front desk staff was very friendly and showed genuine concern for me. The room was very clean and the building was quiet. Like that the rooms are interior for better safety than outside doors. The free breakfast was delicious.

Spotless & pretty room! Great breakfast choices! Our room was spotless & spacious enough for a couple. We both got sunburned at a nearby beach so we used all that was left in the skin cream container provided in our bathroom. It was promptly refilled when we told their staff. The breakfast offered everything for food. It was amazing! It had something for everyone! I would’ve liked to have had cranberry juice but found only strawberry-kiwi flavored juice. Cranberry juice is a basic staple that many older people rely on daily.

Look for tampons in your sheets and pillow cases I stayed there on 2 occasions . The first time I had a wonderful experience and that's why I rebooked.. the second most recent stay 2/11/24 to 2/14/24 was the most horrible hotel experience of my life.. I woke up after the second night thinking I would make the bed and do some work. Wrong.. I went to fluff my pillow and a dried used tampon fell on the floor. I was disgusted. It was dry and looked like it had been washed and dried. I took a bag and picked it up . Took it to the office. I was told management would call me. They never did. After about 2 hours I went to management and requested that my room be cleaned and new sheets be placed on the bed with a tampon inspection done before they placed the sheets on.. this was about 8 am. At 1230 the room still wasn't cleaned or bed made.. I received " I'm sorry" the manager did not even look at me and continued what she was doing.. at 1230 when I approached her about my room .. she told me that I had to wait until the rooms checking in were cleaned... Relaxing was not something I guess I was allowed to do at the Hampton inn.. mind you a Hilton hotel... We left came back around 7 pm .. finally my bed was made.. but... The remote to the TV was gone ..my husband was in the shower and I heard him scream.. no cold water .. pure hot... With soap still on his face.. I went down to the office and asked .. " am I being punked." Because I have never in my life had such a horrible experience.. I travel for my job .. I stay at hotels sometimes months at a time and this was the worse.. not because of the tampon.. ok.. somethings are out of their control... I understand that no matter how hard you may attempt to put in safety procedures and protocols in.. stuff happens.. I was disgusted and yes . Threw up.. but no physical harm came ...but the hot water and The customer service was uncalled for .. do not stay at this hotel...

Stepping back to the 80’s I would agree the front desk staff are extremely pleasant and welcoming at all times, past that and it’s a 1980’s hotel. Trash left at elevators and outside rooms for days they apparently have no housekeeping services. Rooms have no fridge, microwave even though they sell frozen food items. The digital key system doesn’t work. Lights outside are broken. Lots of road noise so choose a room on backside oh hotel to minimize that. Rooms are extremely worn out.

Clean and comfy Nice Hampton from the check in to the bkfst. The smaller waffle maker was nice and whipped cream and flavored syrup a new touch. Room was consistent w what's expected of Hampton. Big choice if pillow size and quality. Highly recommended.
