Third-hand smoke. Third-hand smoke embedded in the room. Front desk said don’t know about toxic third-hand smoke. They insist there is “no smoke in the rooms.” Truth is that if you are in the hotel business, then yes you do know. There is a toxic coating of smoke in the rooms. That is not “smoke-free.” It smells up my clothing and bags. It burns my eyes, and I end up with a raw cough and sore throat the next day. They also told me they would not try to quiet down the loud obnoxious people sitting outside my window, because “they have a right to talk.” Nah. Not late at night so loudly that I can't sleep and can make out every detail of what it was like for them at Walmart. I had already declined the first room I was shown, and was in the second room. I was offered a third room but I checked out two days early instead, as I had quite enough.

Much better than expected! Better than expected! I didn’t have the highest of hopes, due to the reviews for any hotel in the area, and I was truly surprised by my stay. The room was HUGE, super clean and quiet. The staff was also very friendly and efficient. The only - and ridiculously minimal- drawback was that the couch didn’t face the television and I was prepared for some lounging & movie time. Lol

Ringworm After the 1st night at this hotel, I awoke with a rash on my face, neck, chest, and under arm. I went to an urgent care, and was told it was ringworm. Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin with come from direct contact with towels, bedding clothing and alike. The next night in bed I realized the bedding laid across the rash. I informed the desk clerk, and she said let housekeeping know. Upon returning home I called Holiday Inn customer relations and was told I would be contracted in 48 hours. That was a week ago. It seems like Holiday Inn DOES NOT care about their customers heath. Thank your stars wasn't covid. PS the rest of the hotel was fine.

Mixed Review Although the room we stayed in was very clean, and the beds comfortable, the hotel is showing its age. The tub had chips in the porcelain, and the shower curtain was hard to close to prevent the floor from flooding when showering. There are not enough plugs in the room for all our electronics, especially since the USB ports in the lamp between the beds were not working. Also, one of the elevators was out of service. The breakfast had a lot of choices, but the eggs and biscuits were out when we got there and it took a bit before it was replenished. Because of that we chose the cheese omelets, but they weren’t hot and were chewy. The sausage links could be improved due to an extremely tough casing which was difficult to cut through. The pancake maker was a nice addition. The employees at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I gave 4 stars because the room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the employees friendly and helpful.
