Stay in Portland The location of the hotel was very easy to get to from the airport and the places we wanted to see. The hotel was quiet for sleeping. Great bed for sleeping as well. We felt the hotel was clean. The staff was pleasant as well. Really enjoyed this location.

Hotel was perfectly adequate. The hotel was clean and appeared to be freshly painted, beds were OK. I asked for extra blanket and staff was accommodating & pleasant. The breakfast was very basic & the seating area was crowded . The location was a little isolated about a 10 minute drive to Old Port area.

Disappointed The , water pressure in the sink faucet was just a trickle, fan was very noisy in the air system. Also the aircraft noise was very loud. Yes we were staying near the jet port but this was loud! We expected better because of the reviews. I would not stay there again.

Be Warned Don't waste your time, I booked a 1 night stay and did the pre-arrival only to be treated as a burden at the front desk upon arrival. Was advised they would take a $50 incidental charge (as anticipated). Completed my online checkout and went on my way. Checked my card the following day, was charged the full room charge twice. Called and spoke with staff only to be advised they can't see the charges on their end. As far as the Hotel itself it is fine, could be cleaner but not bad in itself.

Dishonesty at La Quinta The room was very hot, and it was difficult to control the temperature. What bothered me most, however, was that no housekeeping services are provided unless you are staying over three nights. The misleading tiny sign over the sink states that towels will not be changed in order to save energy. How much energy do they save by not making the bed? It does not tell you that the bed will not be made or the room vacuumed. All other hotels I have stayed in give you the option to decline housekeeping, but not La Quinta. They seem to think the guests are ignorant and will not realize that what they are saving is money for the company rather than energy, and it this dishonesty that will cause me to choose a different hotel next time.
