GENUINE PEOPLE !!! I stay at a lot of Marriott hotels weekly throughout the year. I can easily pick up on how genuinely "Real" the staff is as soon as I check-in. This week I had a bad back so the shuttle driver was so helpful with my bag, the front desk clerk left a note for the morning manager to look out for a package I needed for a meeting the next morning. When I woke up for breakfast, however, I was greeted by the most GENUINELY friendly person, RHONDA!!! She asked how I was doing, with my back pain I didn't smile too much so she stopped and looked at me and asked why i was not 100% amazing because I woke up and was breathing. I explained the pain I was in...she stopped what she was doing and asked how she could help me. I was fine but just personality and work ethic alone was enough for me to make sure others know about her. The hotel overall is of excellent Marriott quality with recent room updates and new building signs. The room/bed was comfortable, clean, updated and well-appointed with plenty of places to plug up your devices. I did not use the fitness room but it had what any person would want, weights and cardio gear along with a water filter bottle filler machine. This was my 2nd stay and I will return the next time I visit my customer. Keep it up.

Standard SpringHill - good rates and large rooms Stayed one night on either end of a trip to Oregon. Was by far the cheapest hotel of its class around and would happily stay again. Pros: - Large rooms with up to date features (smart TVs) and stylish & comfortable furniture - Airport shuttle was prompt and driver very friendly - Front desk staff was kind - Entire property was very clean - could not fault it Cons: - Gym and pool closed 'due to covid' in July still - Market is expensive - Elevator is slow (take the stairs if you can) - Had a very uncomfortable (though short-lived) experience of who seemed to be the owner berating an employee in front of me while I was in the lobby waiting to leave the hotel... - Breakfast is still limited Like I said, good value for money and would stay again - most of the cons are minor ones at that

Tired and punchy We stayed here after flying all day from Ohio on July 4th. ALL DAY. What a happy find. Comfortable bed, clean, clean, clean. Shout out to Carter at the front desk for making us feel welcomed. You were so friendly, informative and professional. Thank you. Our only negative was the coffee. Really?! In the land of great coffees, it was weak. Even the complimentary room packets. Marriott, you can do better.

Nice folks and Property My wife and I have stayed here on differnt stays in Portland. This is very convenient, clean and has a very helpful staff. We don't bother looking as this is our place to stay when making a treip to Portland. The staff is awesome: Heather at the front desk always has a warm smile and friendly manner which makes us feel like we are home. Jocelyn Thurber has always made us welcome and reminds us why we should return for another stay. Don & Yvonne Varney

I like this hotel but don't count on the shuttle. Arrived into PDX at a little after 6PM and got my bags. When I hit the hotel shuttle pick-up area it was about 6:20 and I called for a pick-up. The person who answered the phone said that the van had just been there and had 2 or 3 requests to drop people off elsewhere before they could return to get me around 7PM. After a long day and the word of the airport shuttle not being timely, I called Lyft and spent $16.00 for the 7-minute ride to the hotel. Why Lyft was so expensive tonight I haven’t a clue but I wanted to get to the hotel and have dinner and work before too long. I was greeting at the hotel by a snarky and condescending front desk clerk who apparently thought I was impatient for just not waiting for the shuttle. “Hey, I just spoke to you” when I mentioned that perhaps they should have more than one shuttle during peak times or at least a 20-minute schedule being so close. I was told that “people expect too much” from the shuttle service. OK – let me say that I chose to take Lyft rather than arrive to the hotel that is 3 miles away in 45 minutes - AND that I don’t need a lecture about the hotels process, BUT I did choose this hotel entirely because they promised a shuttle and to start the trip spending $16.00 to get to the hotel was upsetting. Further upsetting is a desk clerk berating and scolding me for not wanting to wait in the cold 30-45 minutes. I was checked in to my room (not where requested on my profile – but fine enough) and walked across the street to get dinner. I have stayed here before and givien good ratings. It’s a nice place. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the noise of planes and trains stops around 10PM so I sleep well. They have a nice sitting area and work desk with coffee and a refrigerator. The internet worked fine too. The bath has product via pump bottle now and that was fine, and the shower was great. The breakfast is nice. Many choices including several healthy options. If not for the poor shuttle and “reception” this would be a fine stay. Since I counted and planned for the shuttle, and some courtesy I’d come and try again but hope they retrain the front desk person I dealt with during my stay. As a lifetime Titanium member, I know realistic expectations and they were not met on this stay.
