Magical Music Evening Looking for a light dinner, we stumbled into the historic and beautiful Hassayampa Inn in Prescott, AZ. It was happy hour in the bar, and live music was about to start. We ordered spring rolls and fish tacos from the bar menu to go with our beers. When the musician, Kenny James, started playing and singing, the magic took over and we had a lovely evening on our last night of a week's long road trip. He played a full three hours, and we didn't want to leave, so we ordered a fruit tart to share for dessert. Now come the gripes about the food: I guess the regular chef was on vacation or something, because the fish tacos and tart were not good. The tacos contained chopped up pieces of unrecognizable fish with no trimmings, no slaw, no tomatoes, no sauce. The seasoning was okay, just. The fruit tart would have been good if the crust had been baked to a crisp texture. Instead, it was doughy. It was a great time in a lovely place, but next time we will order drinks only, no food.

Amazing staff, charming old hotel and great location! Great old charming hotel located in walking distance from everything in oldtown Prescott. The staff went above and beyond with any request we had. Karen Graham the hotel manager, resolved a major booking issue created by Hotels.com.. Monica, Dylan, and Shane at the front desk were super friendly and accommodating with any question or request we had. We would highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

Wish we could have stayed longer! Will be back!! What an absolute joy this hotel was and only sorry we had just one night there. The bedroom was really quiet and had two very comfy beds lit by Tiffany lamps which, together with the furniture harked back to a bygone age, lovely. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was sumptuous and set us up for the rest of the day; the smoked salmon omelette was divine and the lemon soufflé pancakes were out of this world. Would highly recommend.
