Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pueblo North by IHG

Really clean and bright, fantastic staff Very good, clean, bright, and welcoming motel. My friend and I needed a room late at night, and on short notice. Although it cost us $300, it ended up just what we needed. Three in the morning when we pulled in exhausted, a young man I do believe named James was at the front desk. He was extremely friendly and helpful. In the morning, the breakfast was very good, the staff was great, and a lady named Helen in the dining hall sure did go above and beyond for absolutely everyone there. Yes, it was more expensive than we wanted, But it sure stood out nicely.

Perfect for our needs This was at a very convenient and easy to find location. Everything you could need was within a couple of blocks. Also it was the closest hotel to airport. Had a health issue and needed to stay extra day, they were very accommodating. Clean, good breakfast, nice pool area, also clean. There were security around all night. Felt safe

Disappointed The lobby and breakfast area are clean and attractive. Breakfast area hostess is attentive, and she very capably tends to guests’ needs/requests. Food was tasty; a decent selection. The bed pillows in our room were flat/non-supportive. Definitely negatively affected our sleep. We had stiff necks because of the lack of bed pillow support. Bring your pillows from home. Bathroom door was heavily weighted. You could not leave it open, to help with fogged up mirror. Toilet paper was one-ply; very thin, poor quality. Bath products were wonderful! They were Dove brand; were in dispensers attached to the vanity area wall. Towels were large and absorbent. Ice machines were only on floors 2 and 4. VERY inconvenient. We stayed 3 nights. Housekeeping did not clean our room the third day.

Typical Holiday Inn Express It's a typical Holiday Inn Express. Pretty new with spacious rooms that are clean and quiet. It's off the highway, so it's quiet and a little out of the way. It's a mid-range priced hotel. I paid $143.10 for the night. Staff were friendly. I'd stay here again if I ever go back to Pueblo.

Not clean. Considering the rates charged, don't risk it. Keep driving. Don't even think about staying here. Just keep going to Colorado Springs or up to Denver. At 6 pm, guest rooms weren't ready because presumably a shortage of housekeepers. Front Desk clerk was overworked and alone. No colleague to help him or a manager to address situations. Absolutely no compensation offered to guests whose rooms weren't ready 3 hours after the published check-in time. My first room had black debris and stains on the bedding. None of the surfaces like countertops were wiped down or sanitized. Lots of dust, crumbs, etc. The second room had what two stains that appeared to be blood or some kind of bodily fluid. One stain was on the top sheet and the other stain was on the bottom fitted sheet. Like the first room, surfaces like countertops were wiped down or sanitized. Lots of dust, crumbs, etc. Carpet also wasn't vacuumed. In the bathroom of each room, the individual toiletries have been replaced with wall-mounted dispensers containing lotion, hand wash, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. No bar of soap is provided. Separate from the cleanliness issues: 1) No IHG Diamond elite recognition. You won't get a suite upgrade unless you request it. 2) Immediate area feels sketchy with a lot of transients and other questionable people loitering. Don't leave anything in the car. All things considered, this is a poorly operated Holiday Inn Express. Considering the rates charged, don't risk it. Keep driving.
