Ocean Blue & Sand Beach Resort - All Inclusive

It wasn't bad... We recently spent some time at Ocean Blue and Sand in August and our group was made up of family and friends, five adults and two teens and we spent between four to seven days. Below are some of our comments on our stay. Pros: 1. Physical compound and rooms were well maintained. 2. Restaurants we tried were good – Italian, Mexican and Japanese. The Japanese restaurant, Sensai, was an exceptional dining experience. 3. Main Buffett had different themed culinary experience for dinner each night. 4. Main buffet for breakfast had the same items every morning, but enough variety if you wanted to try something different each day. 5. Transportation via buggies/train are available to get you around as the compound is large. 6. Pool activities were quite good with daily aqua aerobics; Family lounge had varied activities- bowling alley, pool table, play stations, foosball etc. Cons: 1. No elevators, so if you have mobility issues try to get accommodation on the 1st floor. All buildings are 3 storeys. 2. You might experience challenges when booking at the “reservation only restaurants” as you must do it early, like 6am, on the morning of. They have an app for this. 3. Beach: I did research this before I came as the entire Caribbean is experiencing a sea grass, sargassum, problem. We did not get to enter the beach as despite the hotel's staff best cleaning effort using a bulldozer, they were simply overwhelmed by the sheer volume. I was told it decreases between September to January. Some in our group managed to enter for about 30minutes when it was clear and enjoyed it. Other guests entered the water with the seaweed but not a lot, plus the seaweed smells at times! 4. Language: you may experience communication barriers as some staff have different proficiency with the English language. 5. Marketing/ promotional meeting on the first day was a disaster as there were communication issues with the employee as to how long it would last. We were told it would be an hour but there is a pre-registration which took almost 20 minutes, and the actual presentation ran for more than an hour. It would be advisable for them to use a power point presentation instead of doing it with pen and paper. 6. Breakfast buffet should have more local dishes and advertised as such. Labeling on some items were inaccurate e.g. skimmed and almond milk incorrectly labelled. Overall experience 3.80 out of 5

Getting to know the employees The resort is stunning! But I must say that they treat their employees like donkeys. Little pay and accomodations that are not fit for an animal! You will enjoy your stay but keep in mind the horrible treatment of those that are there for you. Four employees to a room, one bathroom and no air conditioning. I spoke with a number of employees and they all concurred. Might be pretty, but behind the scenes it is very ugly

Ocean Blue & Sand- Punta Cana Ocean Blue & Sand was amazing. The service was 10/10 and the food was top notch. Definitely recommend making this place a stop if you are visiting Punta Cana. The pool guys were the highlight of my trip, Daniel de la Rosa and Eddy Calletano were the best.

Pool vibes in August Daniel De La Rosa and Eddy Calletano. We arrived monday. Pool was great energy and calm and relaxing. Pool attendance was on point, caring, and very aware. This is my first time here will be coming in the future.

Best hotel in punta cana Food amazing stay amazing one of the best hotels by far!!! I came in 2012 and here again in 2025 and have to say amazing resort.. Jesus amazing waiter at the steakhouse...
