Wonderful and personal hotel If you're looking for a nice hotel near port charlotte hospital-this is the one! The staff is phenomenal, from check-in, to 88 keys restaurant, to the rooftop sunset and tapas bar-and they all really personalize the stay. It is modernly appointed with mirrors that have the backlighting, marble countertops, super comfortable beds, all in all a very comfortable place to rest after a long day. I like it's originality and intimacy compared to some of the others nearby.

Traumatic stay in Punta Gorda We booked an overnight stop here after flying into Miami on our way up the West Coast. Unfortunately we were suddenly woken in the early hours of the morning with very loud hammering and kicking on our room door, this continued, my husband looked through the spy hole and saw two large men standing there, I was terrified. We rang reception who acted and came up to our floor and spoke to the men who were very very drunk, aggressive and argumentative, one claiming to be a marine, they insisted that our room was their room. The night manager managed to get them to go away but they returned and stood whispering outside our door - at this point I was becoming traumatised and very scared. My husband rang reception again and asked for them to be dealt with, the night manager hesitated at which point my husband said if you don’t call the police I will. The police attended and it went quiet thankfully. In the morning as we checked out early after not being able to get back to sleep properly, the night manager said that one of the guys had left the property not to return, however this story was contradicted by the Assnt Manager as follows; ‘Our front desk agent tried to deescalate the situation . It resulted in the Punta Gorda police being called to offer their assistance. Unfortunately, we cannot predict the behavior or inappropriate behavior of another hotel guest. In this instant they mistakenly thought it was their friends' room, there was no malice.’ Sadly despite contacting the manager Melissa Dietzler via e mail we have had no response (we did have a response fm the assistant manager who stated she could not do anything) We are appalled at the incident and the hotels lack of response

Mismanagement at its best! I am highly disappointed with my recent stay at the Wyvern Hotel. From the very beginning, this experience has been nothing short of horrible. Every hotel I have ever stayed at always informs guests in advance about any ongoing construction. Still, we were never told about the construction at Wyvern Hotel, not even at the time of check-in. Our room faced the parking lot, and from the moment we checked in, a crane was outside our window. The noise was incessant, and we didn't have even a minute of peace. The constant clamor of the construction work made relaxing or enjoying our stay impossible. I am appalled that a hotel of this caliber failed to inform us about the construction. Just letting guests know about such disruptions is a basic courtesy and standard practice, and the lack of communication is unacceptable. This oversight has dramatically impacted our experience and left a sour taste in our mouths. I spoke with the hotel manager, Scott, who just brushed me off by saying we have no policy for informing the guests about ongoing construction. I expected much more from the Wyvern Hotel and am thoroughly disappointed with how this situation was handled. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves communication with future guests to avoid similar experiences.

Best Florida Vacation! Outstanding experience at this gorgeous boutique hotel. We had a great experience and. happy with our room. very comfortable and beautiful.ly decorated. Both of the hotel’s restaurants had delicious food. It was great that the hotel is within a few. blocks of the eateries and boutiques in town. Highly recommended.

An Oasis of Calm. Each time we stay here we are amazed at the value, and professionalism of the staff, cleanliness of the property and the roof!!! (Perch 360). whenever we want to stay in Punta Gorda and environs we head straight here. There was plenty of convenient parking and every kind of restaurant, boutique, or coffee shop is within walking distance.
