Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Puyallup (Tacoma Area) by IHG

Lovely room and great staff make this a winner Yes ther are some renovations going on and the pool is still closed, but none of that mattered to us. (If the pool is important to you, they told us we were free to use the pool at the BW across the parking lot.) The renovated room was lovely, well appointed, clean, and bed very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was about the best we've seen in this market segment. The location is very convenient with a McDonalds practically in the parking lot with a large minimart/gas station next door. Only one downside, the WiFi was "iffy" in our room but this led to an amazing interaction with the hotel staff. They responded immediately, showing true caring and concern. We would absolutely stay at this Holiday Inn Express again!

An Excellent Hotel Choice Easy freeway access, super nice staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a large free buffet breakfast. They allow dogs for $30 per night which is a common charge. There is a small grassy area in the rear for walking the dogs. We only stayed 1 night but will likely stay again on our next visit to the Puyallup area.

The best experience ever!!! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Puyallup for 13 days straight while our house was getting repairs done! This hotel was hands down the best with friendliness, cleanliness, and comfort. We ended up having to extend our stay and they gave us no problem at all with that and let us stay in our same room. Molly was our house keeper and she went over, above and beyond for us with making sure each day our room was cleaned to perfection and gave us extra towels so we wouldn’t have to call down to the front desk and request for me. The hotel is extremely clean! The front desk manager was so extremely helpful and was able to accommodate our request. We had the BEST experience ever! I recommend staying at Holiday Inn Express, Puyallup during your travel. You will be happy you did! Thank you for making our stay a great comfortable experience!

Big miss for this hotel My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites recently. What a disappointment. The hotel is undergoing extensive remodeling. Unfortunately, at 4 a.m. the fire alarm went off. We sat in the car for an hour until the fire trucks departed. We were advised the fire alarm was triggered because of the remodeling and roof work. When we went to check out of the hotel we ask if we would receive some type of compensation and were told no. Management of the hotel determined that the fire alarm did not impact our stay and it was "for our good". To say we were disappointed in their response was an understatement. The next night we stayed in a different Holiday Inn Express in a different city, also being remodeled. When we walked into THAT property, we were greeted with "we are having some work done on our lobby, so I am crediting your account with 1,000 extra points. Thank you for choosing Holiday Inn Express." We will be staying at the second Holiday Inn Express. We will not be returning to the Puyallup property and urge anyone in the area to choose the Best Western Plus which is in the same parking area. It is a very nice property which will serve you well.

Comfy Simple, clean, well thought out facility. Great staff helped us to learn how to say "Puyallup." Comfy beds, good breakfast offerings including a pancake machine that promises a fresh, hot pancake in a minute. The roll down drapes really darken the room. Pretty quiet. Close to refueling station and a McDonald's. Adequate parking.
