Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rapid City

What do we do with our stuff? We stayed 5 nights here during the Sturgis bike Rally. We booked 3 rooms. Upon arrival we were told that one of the suites we booked wasn’t available because they had done renovations and removed those. Our friends had to sleep in the same room because of this, which wasn’t the end of the world, but the reservation assured us that the couples would have separate sleeping areas, and upon arrival that was sprung on us. Also upon check I we were informed that there was no soap in the hotel. Also not a huge deal, and a trip to the local store solved that. The pool area had rocks on the floor which subsequently meant many ended up in the pool, which was very strange and painful if you weren’t paying attention. The worst thing about this hotel which gets it the 2 star review is that there was literally nowhere to put our clothing. They had removed the closets and any dressers during the renovations and had put some coat hooks on the wall with 4 hangers. I’ve travelled extensively and never experienced anything like this. They didn’t even have those little folding racks to put your suitcase on. We literally lived out of our bags off the floor for 5 days. Once our coats and a shirt or 2 took up the wall hooks, we were out of options. I have no idea whose decision this renovation design was, but they’re obviously not spending a week in hotel rooms very often. The counter staff were very friendly, and the cleaning was great, but the lack of sufficient storage for our things was unacceptable. We lived in a pile for the entire trip.

Bugs in the bathroom! Filthy room, terrible customer service. There were bugs on the bathroom floor, and in the bathtub. Upon bringing it to the front desk-she was extremely rude about it and shrugged me off like it was no big deal. I will never go back, and neither will my family. DISGUSTING AND ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY

Very nice place to stay Stayed here 3 nights while visiting the black hills. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff was great. Breakfast had lots of options and was really good.

Stay here if you can Best hotel I’ve stayed in for the price and the staff was so sweet. The rooms were very clean no issues at all. When I was looking for hotels to stay at I read previously posted reviews and all of them where good they are a pet friendly hotel and I love that

Will be back Very polite and knowledgeable staff, convenient location and quiet hotel all rolled into one. Several nearby restaurants to choose from along with shopping destinations. Would have been nice to have specified parking for this hotel instead of a shared parking area.
