DO NOT STAY IN THE LODGE!! Seriously, dont! DO NOT STAY IN THE LODGE. Seriously don’t do it. The rooms are unkempt, dirty, old and gross. We checked in last night, and immediately checked out. If I could include pictures here I would. The floors were not vacuumed, the headboards were literally falling apart with the rubber material peeling off and other marks of who knows what on the bed headboards. Visible dust layered at the base of lamps. When I went to the front desk, they offered us to look at another room, but it was in the same condition. The throw pillows on the couch had stains on them, the couch was frayed and dirty. It was completely unacceptable. Then, we realized that the outter door leading into the first floor, directly from the parking lot not through the lobby, was unlocked and the keycard was not necessary to get in- even though there’s a sign next to the door that says “locked for customer safety, please use key card” - when I asked the front desk about locking the door they said “it’s never locked, I have worked here for two years and it’s never locked” as if that was supposed to suffice? There was no way my family (including two kids) was going to stay there. They then offered me to look at a 2nd floor option and the room was in similar condition to the other two I had already looked it. It’s clear that housekeeping is not happening, and that the owner/upper management does not care about the state of the hotel rooms furniture, cleanliness, or making that guests feel safe or comfortable. I was I offered a full refund and we left. We went to the Hampton by the airport- which is new, clean, bright, feels safe, and the indoor pool is in the same building unlike the Lodge. We checked in basically in the spot after calling and had the experience we should have had from the beginning of all of this. All, the breakfast bar and coffee in the morning is tasty, warm, with lots of options including a waffle bar! The Lodge at Eagle Crest dos not offer complimentary breakfast. Literally, do not stay there. If you’re looking for a one night or two night place to land while traveling or visiting - go to the Hampton instead. And yes, they let you bring your dog too!

AWESOME vacation in Redmond! Eagle Crest is located ON a beautiful golf course (if you golf...which we do not-but didn't matter at all!). Large condo-style accommodations; fully stocked with everything you need for a great trip! The Deschutes river runs RIGHT ALONG the property! Can fly-fish in about a 10-minute walk from units! Pools, EV bike rentals, scooters and bikes on-site! They even have indoor/outdoor PICKLEBALL courts on site!!! LOTS of white-tailed deer families visited us on our back patio right on the golf course every 'dusk' of every day! (they like sliced apples and baby carrots, but not lettuce, or celery!) We were SO busy seeing GORGEOUS massive waterfalls; raging rivers; taking SWEET hikes for all abilities...and we even went down a 1.5 mile lava tunnel! UNREAL! (free, too!) Didn't get to even pick up a fishing pole, or get out to the on-site pools as we were having so much fun taking in the area! Could go on and on....we'll be back!!! GREAT customer service from Candace :)

Different Hotel from the Wyndham Eagle Crest -- Room Smells Like Urinal Cakes I stayed at the Eagle Crest Wyndham on a Thursday night, which is simply the top floor of the same hotel. Having had a lovely experience, on Friday I rebooked at the Lodge at Eagle Crest, thinking it was the same thing. No. First, the rooms were clean. How do I know? Because my room smelled like a box of urinal cakes was being stored in it. Second, my key didn't work. This is an automatic one point deduction. It's such a simple thing to get this right and such a critical fail when dealing with an expansive property and you make the guest trudge to one end and back to get a working key. Third, the room -- unlike the third floor room I stayed at previously -- looked like it had been decorated with second-hand furniture from the Used Hotel Store. If one wanted to escape this dark dungeon you could go to the lobby and sit in the dark (the lights were kept off for some reason).

Disappointment at Eagle Crest Lodge I love central Oregon with all the beautiful views and clear weather and year round activities. But I was totally disappointed with the room at Eagle Crest Lodge. The room was on the first floor. I walked into a 62 degree room with AC blasting I had to put on a jacket on a 85 deg. day. The view out the window was of a 10’ high bank of weeds about 4 feet away from the window the parking lot is above that. Felt like I was in a basement. (The side with even numbered rooms) The walls are paper thin, could hear conversations in the rooms next door. There were no power outlets near either bed to plug anything in. In fact there were no extra power sources anywhere except in the bathroom by the toilet. Microwave or lamp didn’t work. Shower didn’t drain, very annoying standing in soapy water to shower. About 10:30pm as I was falling asleep I thought I smelled a skunk but it was a big waft of pot smoke that came through the slightly open window maybe opened 4-5”, which is all they allow. Lesson learned…maybe if I had booked directly through the lodge I would have gotten a nicer room but unfortunately I won’t find out as I will not be returning.
