Great location and service Check in was easy and the receptionist had great customer service! Initially I had a room that smelled like cigarette smoke and I went back to the lobby and asked the receptionist for another room as my daughter has asthma and she accommodated us immediately. Morning breakfast selection was great and our room was very clean!

My Escape ❤️ I always love to spend my night, get some rest and escape the world in this place! It’s the ambiance and the comfort that counts! How I wish they would have a smart TV and everything will be so perfect!! But it’s not really a major thing. I would like to thank Ruby for being so nice and accommodating! More bookings with you guys!! Appreciate this place a lot. I am always happy to be here!

3-night stay We really enjoyed our stay at Atherton In & Suites. The room was very clean & comfortable. Each room included a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer along with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, spa etc. They also included a lovely complimentary breakfast eac morning. We originally only booked 2 nights but due to other circumstances, we needed to stay another night. They were very accommodating and allowed us to stay in our same room. Every person at the front desk was very kind and helpful.

Sketchy motel with strangely high online ratings I'm not sure I've ever seen another hotel where the TripAdvisor ratings were so out of line with the actual experience. This is a sort-of clean budget motel in a sketchy part of town, and there are often men inexplicably loitering in the parking lot. It doesn't feel especially safe and while the rooms were mostly clean, there were some issues there as well. It's fine if you need a very cheap hotel and don't care about those things. When we first checked in, our room had sheets that didn't seem to have been changed from the last guest. There was hair on them as well as some stains which might or might not have been fresh. Upon request, we were moved to another room, where the sheets also looked a little questionable, but the room was otherwise quite clean, so we did stay after housekeeping put new sheets on the beds. On a positive note, the bathroom was clean, and the room was otherwise clean. Also, the room has a small refrigerator and microwave, which is convenient. Later that night, two men burst into our locked hotel room. Because it's not in a great part of town, this was incredibly scary until we realized that they'd been GIVEN a key to our room by the front desk because no one noted that we'd been moved out of the first dirty room into a new one. The front desk was completely casual about this - as if maybe it happens all the time? It was bizarre, and the men in charge at the inn seemed to have no sense that having strangers burst into your hotel room might be kind of a big deal. Another issue was the room keys, which only worked sporadically. Twice, we found that our keys had just stopped working, so we had to go down to the front desk to get them reprogrammed. We'd been told to keep them away from cell phones, etc. and they'd been nowhere near our phones but stopped working anyway. It seems like some elements of this hotel have been updated, such as the bathrooms, which are just fine. But other parts - including the locks that don't always function properly - have not. The beds are also in the need-to-be-updated category. Mattresses were springy and creaky, and bedding, as I noted before, is stained even when it's been laundered. Another note about the keys that don't always work - the front desk is only staffed until 10pm, so if you have a key issue after that, you'll need to call a phone number and wait for someone to come help you. The walls are incredibly thin, as others have noted. You'll hear the people in the room next door to you even when they're talking in normal voices, and if they're fighting, crying, or playing music, as our neighbors were, it will be as if they're in your room with you. Bring earplugs. There is off-street parking, which fills up when the hotel is full, but we never had trouble finding a spot, although they were a little tight. A very basic grab-and-go breakfast is offered. When I stopped in to pick it up, there were four granola bars, a handful of brownish bananas, and some yogurt, as well as cereal and coffee to choose from. So calling it "continental breakfast" is generous, but there is a little food that you can grab if you just need a quick bite on your way out, as long as you're not picky. Again - this is a very inexpensive motel, so that's the positive side of things. It's possible that it's gone downhill a lot during the pandemic and used to be better, but right now, the actual motel just doesn't match many of the ratings I saw online.
