It was a wonderful time and a quiet Christmas There is no breaKfast and only service animals. No pets but ok for service animals. Staff are helpful if you use your manners. Understand their policy and rules and that they are strict and obeidiant to the house rules. They enforce with firmness. Don’t try to see if they will bend, they won’t!!!

Disgusting and disrespectful To begin with five people was in the lobby nobody at the check-in desk we had to go to the pizza parlor in house and they had to go find the person. The swimming pool was covered filth and dirt and garbage all over the grounds the pool was out of order, the door appeared to have been kicked off the hinges at one time or another, The balcony floor was wood and it was so rotted we wouldn’t go out on it, prostitutes in the back parking lot, the room had a terrible smell to it, I think people actually live there year-round the two days we was there police showed up three different times I was at the in-house pizza parlor the people running that are so disgusting and rude and disrespectful bullet holes in the front window and that’s just a beginning, We checked out a day early and they said they would reverse that on the credit card and did not do it

Steer Clear This place is NASTY. Everything from the staff, mgmt, grounds and rooms. The location and low prices will lure you in but beware. They do NOT offer ANY type of breakfast, charge $150-400 dep now, and pets (even service animals) are not allowed. They will let you in with them then after you've paid, they'll kick you out siting that they are a nuisance and keep your money. EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT! AND ARE SERVICE ANIMALS! Car break-ins are prevalent and the police are called there often. Again there is NO breakfast provided You're lucky to get coffee in the AM before they run out for the day Cheap, unethical, and trashy sums this place up.

1885 S Virginia St is no longer safe First off I am a professional traveler. I have been traveling my entire life and I have stayed in this motel in my 20’s, 30’s and now in my 40’s. If you look at my reviews I rarely give a 5 or a 1. I respect the art of traveling. On top of that I have been a member of Choice Hotels since 2006. Now for the review- I paid $51 for the room. The room had a TV hanging from the wall by one screw. The room smelled of urine and urine was visible on the bottom of the mirror. This hotel used to be clean, but budget. They offer no breakfast, and most tenants are homeless or on drugs. Reno PD was here when I was requesting a refund on a 911 call. I will be requesting Choice to remove this dive from the franchise.

Do NOT Stay Here! If you value your health and money, avoid at all cost. DO NOT STAY HERE! Consider this a public service announcement. It’s hard to express in writing how horrifying this Econo Lodge was, but I will do my best. Due to a last minute trip, I needed two rooms in Reno, NV for three nights (Friday/Saturday/Sunday). The ONLY place available within 25 miles of Reno was the Econo Lodge new Reno - Sparks Convention Center. We arrived late Friday night (technically early Saturday morning). The first sign of trouble was the smell in the lobby. It was a strange combination of urine, body odor and vomit. Check-in was OK. The guy was nice enough. He gave us rooms 638 and 639. The rooms had the following issues in common: The aroma from the lobby made it to the rooms. Perhaps it's some type of new hip air freshener? There were holes in the comforter covers (all four beds, two per room). Holes in the sheets, fitted and flat (all four beds). Holes in the pillow cases. Dirty towels. Not just stained towels, but actually soiled with hair on them. Dirty floors. No carpet (thank god), but bad linoleum floors that looked like hardwood which could not have been mopped in I don’t know how long. Within 2 minutes of walking around barefooted my feet turned black with who knows what. Air conditioner did not work in 638. In 639 it was confusing as the instructions on the wall didn’t match the ceiling mounted AC unit or the original baseboard unit. It worked a little but it was loud. The issues unique to 639 (which was mine): Significantly cracked mirror. Same mirror had graffiti on it that said “Look in my hole”. Cute. Trash (spent coffee cup with condiments) on the bathroom counter. Thick dark reddish stains on the curtains. Your guess is as good as mine as to the origin of the stains. The room phone looked like it shorted out a while ago. It was charred on the edges. It didn’t work. Lighter and cigarette butts on the balcony. No emergency response information on the back of the door. Now the kicker…the room charge was $485.77 (which included tax) for EACH room that Friday night. We fled the Econo Lodge at the break of dawn. Fortunately, they agreed (after some complaining and their inspection) to let us out of the remaining two nights of our reservations. @Choisehotels should be ashamed of this property. The hotel should be condemned. With that said, $50/night would be the highest they should charge. $429/night is incomprehensible. The reservation was booked through Expedia. @Expedia.com really needs to do a better job of screening the places they list. I suspect a level of price gouging going on here. I got played. Don’t let this happen to you.
