Night after a Showare Center concert We stayed in one of your big rooms (2 queen beds and a sofa bed). The hotel was very clean looking. Room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Room was cold in middle of the night and I could have done with another blanket, but that was just my preference. We stayed a Thursday night and Friday morning the garbage truck came by to empty the dumpsters outside and they were noisy, but it didn't last long. I would stay here again. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. A nice selection of bread, pastry, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffle, juices and very strong coffee. Thanks for a nice stay Sonesta.

Stay away from the Sonesta Suites Renton. While the room was clean and semi okay, the management and staff were really rude, terrible and uncaring. First, the shuttle bus blocked our car in and the driver got out and went inside and didn’t come out to move the shuttle for at least a half hour so we could not move our car to park. We requested and signed on for connecting rooms they put my daughter at the opposite end of the hotel, we requested a wake up call which we were rudely told “they don’t do” and we’d have to use the alarm clock (which didn’t exist in our room). The shower sucked because there was no water pressure and you could and just the temperature easily. It was pretty expensive for the lack of services we received. Additionally it much farther from the airport and hard to find then we expected. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Decent hotel but deceptive pricing The room I was given was fine, but on one side the neighbors were having a fight and on the other side the people had turned up the TV so their friends in Portland could hear it. I went to the front desk and asked for a different room. The woman at the desk apologized (even though the problem wasn't the hotel's fault) and immediately gave me a new room that had a better quality neighbors. That was good. The room wasn't exactly a suite, but more suite-lite. There was a section with a bed and bathroom and another section with a sofa (bed), TV, and a basic kitchen, The room was large and quiet. The air conditioning was noisy, but worked. The breakfast was OK, but pretty basic. There were two waffle-making machines, which was nice. I have two gripes though. First, there is a mandatory $17.99 fee for breakfast and parking. If a fee is mandatory, it should be included in the room price. This is simply deceptive advertising. What's next? A room price of $50 and a mandatory "bed fee" of $150 for using the bed? This kind of stuff should be illegal. They can charge whatever they want, but if it is mandatory, it should be in the price. If they want to offer optional extras, like use of the pool, that's fine, but trick pricing to fool people into thinking it is cheaper than it really is, is simply deceptive advertising and shouldn't be allowed. The second gripe is that I connected my laptop computer to the room TV using HDMI port 1 to watch a movie from the laptop on their screen. I had my own HDMI cable, which I had used at another hotel the day before. The cable is fine. I selected as input source "HDMI 1" It didn't work. I understand electronics and computers very well and nothing worked, not even rebooting both the laptop and the TV (i.e., by unplugging the modem). I called the front desk to ask how to make the HDMI work. The woman said: "What's HDMI?" Clearly that was getting me nowhere. If there is some special magic needed to make HDMI work (like hopping up and down on your left leg three times while reciting some incantation), they should have an information sheet explaining it, Otherwise, the hotel was OK.

Wonderful Room - Rude Day Shift Front Desk Employee The room itself was wonderful. The young woman at the front desk was extremely rude toward my partner and I and so was the guy who was on the computer next to her. When I walked up to the front desk, I greeted the woman - said hello and good morning and smiled… she just looked at me and ignored my greeting. When I told her what I was there to do (exchange my room keys for new ones since we decided to extend our stay) she continued to be standoffish & unwelcoming. When I asked her for a receipt for the extra days I paid for she said she could give one to me after we checked out of the hotel. I then asked her for an invoice because it doesn’t make since that I can’t see what I’m being charged by the day until I check out. She then said she could email the invoice to me and I told her I would appreciate that. The guy standing next her at the computer (not a front desk employee) kept listening into the conversation and making rude facial expressions multiple times during the interaction. When she finally gave us the new keys, she just handed them to me and said nothing, no “here are your new keys” no “here you go have a nice day”…. No words at all and looked at us like we were something dirty she wouldn’t want to touch. Then when we left and headed towards the door… I turned back 5 seconds later or so and and saw her smiling at the guy and talking about something and that’s when I said, “You guys are being really weird…” They froze and the guy said, “What??” I repeated myself and they didn’t really say anything. It’s hard to describe the incident online but it was deeply unsettling. She shouldn’t be front desk staff if she can’t be kind and or respectful to guests. The staff who were there when we checked in late at night our first day at the hotel were great and we really appreciated them. The place is kind of bougie which I wasn’t expecting at all because we stayed at a Sonesta in Arizona and the vibe was way better - relaxed, welcoming, etc…

Nice property The rooms were very nice. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very basic. I expected more when one pays an additional 17.99 per person. The staff was not welcoming, and showing appreciation for staying at this property.
