Nice hotel and a good bargain. My reserved hotel rented our handicapped room so I had to go to the next hotel down the street. It was the Hampton Inn. The front office staff was super. Got me right in to a handicapped room. The entire hotel was clean and neat. Plenty of room for my wife’s Walker and wheelchair. The bath had a nice sized walk in shower. The only problem was in the shower. The shower head was not attached to the lower bar which would be accessible to someone sitting on the shower. It had been replaced by a wand shower head attached to the wall mounted show. This meant you have to reach up about 6’4” to get the shower head. Not assessable to someone on the shower chair. Breakfast: one of the best. Scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, fresh fruit, various breads, and SCONES, waffles, etc. 24 hour coffee and tea.

Better than expected given the points value, but some concerns We decided to give this Hampton a try due its Honors points redemption value - it was by far the lowest of the Savannah-area highway options. I have to admit I was wary due to the mixed reviews online, but we figured the bargain of a price could make us overlook some details like the age of rooms. The front desk agent, Zoltan, was incredibly friendly and a great first impression for the property. Our room, which was upgraded to a king with study a few days before checking in, was overall clean though cosmetically worn in some areas (especially the bathroom). While I did notice a smell in the room when I first entered, as mentioned in some other reviews, it never bothered me once in the room (and I’ve had various issues with cleaning products, mold, etc. at other hotels in the past). Based on other reviews, I would imagine your mileage may vary based on the room, but ours was generally fine. The property overall is definitely older and could benefit from a renovation. Some common areas, like the breakfast area and stairwell, emphasized the age of the property - yet I was surprised to see the fitness center had a Peloton! Safety wise, we felt uneasy in the parking lot at times; there was a guy who kept circulating the lot on his bike and would mumble while sitting on the curb for periods of time, and we noticed a large group at the Econo Lodge next door observing us closely while we unloaded our car. The area is limited in its offerings, as fast food is pretty much your only option with KFC and Wendy’s in walking distance (it appears even Waffle House closed). Similarly, breakfast offerings at the hotel were pretty average. We would probably wait until the hotel is renovated to return, but think it’s a half-decent value if the cash / points cost is low enough.

Nice for one night travel Good for travel. Comfortable. Nice people at desk. Quiet. I have to laugh, though. I’m glad I’m not washing my hair this one night. The shower tub area contains 3 pump type bottles. It’s supposed to to be shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. LOL This bathroom has body lotion in the shower. Good luck if you make that mistake. I guess no one REALLY READS what is placed in the shower. I saw this mistake on Long Island once. Please CHECK these bottles supervisor. There is already lotion attached to the sink counter

Not Hampton Inn Quality I stay at Hilton brands regularly and this one definitely does not hold up to the Hilton name. This hotel is in desperate need of an update. Our shower was extremely slow draining, the drain itself was rusty, the bathroom door was chipped and dirty, it was also hard to close. The shampoo was empty, the beds felt like you would roll out of you laid on the edge. There is no fan in the bathroom. We could not find an outlet to plug in the in room coffee maker. I would definitely not recommend staying here if you are accustomed to Hilton quality. It’s more of a Choice Hotel quality. I also had to go back to the front desk to ask for bottled water. As a Hilton Honors member, I was not offered bottled water at check in, nor was any in the room. Which is just a perk, but still something I have became accustomed to with the Hilton brand. On a positive note, there is coffee provided in the lobby at all times that was good quality and fresh anytime we got a cup. The sheets were also very clean, but not put on the bed well. The swimming pool was also closed which my nephew was disappointed about. There is also a ceiling fan which I found odd.
