Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Richmond I-95 South, VA

Would not return I’m being nice giving it 2 stars only because it wasn’t completely disgusting inside however, at check in, front desk employee was not welcoming, was actually very rude. Lobby was covered in boxes. Room -tv stand had broken cabinets. Two hairs on the bed. Floors needed to be swept better. Location-not the best area.

Not a place to take your family This place is dreadful. It is in serious need of upgrading. The walls are cracked, the furniture is warn and uncomfortable. The place is very difficult to find with limited parking. In the evening, there were a number of individual men coming in and then going out an hour later. The breakfast was adequate but I never get used to powdered eggs and cold meats. The pool area was the best part. The staff was nice but not it is like trying to put lipstick on a pig. I would never take a family to this hotel. We paid a lot because it was a Radisson. We will not rent any hotels from them again.

Great staff, comfortable rooms The staff was very kind and helpful, when we needed something they were very quick to assist us. The room was clean and comfortable, beds are soft, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was delicious. The parking was ample and felt safe. Can’t ask for more than that. We will definitely come back. Thank you for a great experience.

Clean Rooms and facilities Great staff and clean rooms. We booked this room as stayover for the night. No issues at all. Free Parking. Decent breakfast. Beds were good. No issues during check-in or check-out. Overall a great experience.

One night stay near Richmond We stayed here one night. It was a convenient stop for our travel on our way to Savannah, GA. The lobby was clean and bright. When we asked the clerk at the front desk for restaurant recommendations in the area, he pointed us to a printed list. He was unable to provide any information about the restaurants on the list though. Had we looked at the room before checking in, we would have tried to find other accommodations. Our room was in serious need of some updating and refreshing. There was a lot of mould around the tub and windows and there was water damage on the ceiling. The room smelled musty and the walls felt kind of sticky, as if there was dampness in the paint. The bed was very comfortable though. Breakfast was included and it was fine. The young woman who was in charge of the dining area looked like she would rather be anywhere else. She didn’t say a word but had such an unpleasant attitude, it felt like we were an inconvenience. There was a gas station right next to the hotel which was a time saver. A day after our stay, we received a survey asking for our comments. My wife responded and addressed the issues mentioned here. She received a response from the manager indicating that these concerns were discussed with his team and we would receive a small credit for our disappointment in our stay. Despite several emails to the manager, we never received a response nor did we receive the credit. In hindsight, other than the convenience of the location for us, there was nothing else to recommend this hotel.
