If I could award "0" stars, I would--Icky When you arrive at a hotel and a few minutes later hear a gunshot...don't bother. When you don't see guests but do see an abundance of drug addicts and homeless people, don't bother. But I did. I had free Rodeway points, so a month before, when I was making the reservation, I requested a room with a kitchenette. No problem. I asked whether my niece could check in before I arrived (we were arriving separately). She could. Neither of these things became reality. Then they wanted to charge me $100 just to show up and get into the room when I have never had to do this at any other Rodeway when using my points. The list of what they promised and didn't deliver on is short, but impactful: (1) They wouldn't let my niece check in before me, even though it was verified a month before that she could. (2) They had no more rooms with kitchenettes even though that was what I reserved and was assured that I would get. (3) They wanted to charge $100 just to check in. Bottom line: don't let what happened to me happen to you. Book someplace else. And someone at corporate needs to take a visit. Their name should be no where near this place. This property does NOT represent Rodeway Inn's brand.

Wow The door to the room had a large enough gap to see quite a bit of sun shine through, the people talking outside of the door sounded like they were inside the room with us. There is a mini fridge, but the freezer was caked with ice and something from a previous guest. When I walked in the room, a bug scampered across the floor, which was also when I noticed some holes in the floor. I turned on the cool air, but my son turned it off because the smell was unpleasant, which is when I noticed the debris in the filter. The best part was when I sat on the bed to at least see if the bed was comfortable, it made loud sounds, as if covered in plastic. I wasn’t sure what was making the sound, and that’s when I looked under the bed. The bed was being held up by planks of wood. I will say that the gal who worked the desk was very pleasant and quickly issued a refund without hesitation. I would give the customer service a good rating, but the hotel, I honestly couldn’t leave the hotel fast enough.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in! I arrived for my 12pm check in at 1 pm and the room was not ready. After driving for 7 hours I was told they would have the room ready by 3pm and call me and there was no restroom available and I would have to go to Taco Bell to use the restroom in the meantime. There were patches all over the walls and the bed had flees. There was as drug deal that I witnessed and people yelling at midnight. Worst experience I ever had!

4 Eww rating First and foremost, the professionals who work at The Roadway on Magnolia Blvd were very genuine people. I enjoyed visiting with them. • The hotel itself charges a premium rate • The common area’s are beyond filthy. Like gross infinity. Coffee cans full of cigarette butts, old broken vending machines with faded signs ‘out of order’, A disgusting patio table pulled from a nearby dumpster • Years upon years of gum, snot, ashes and oil staining the walkways. (I just threw up in my mouth) • The rooms are 4 walls and a bed • Perfect for people in desperate situations
