Exceeded Expectations!!! In today’s world of grab the money and run there are a few gems still in existence with the concept the customer comes first. The Hilton Gardens Riverview in Tampa Florida is one such place. In is nestled in an industrial complex centered with beautiful trees bushes and pleasantly appealing deco. Let’s begin with the front desk staff. They are pleasantly professional, kind, courteous, and friendly. Tacanya was the highlight here. My impression was look up a definition for southern hospitality and I’m am certain her picture would appear or should appear. Her professionalism, kindness and courtesy has guaranteed my return when I head back this way. The kitchen staff each morning delivered a freshly cooked to order breakfast buffet that was reasonably priced. Again the staff was professional, kind, courteous and polite. The small bar with the professional, kind and courteous bar tender. His story telling sense of humor was a perfect fit to facilitate strangers into friendly conversations. Somehow I failed to get his name my fault. He was great. Finally, the rooms were clean larger than expected maybe that is because I’m out of Brooklyn, New York. Nevertheless I enjoyed not feeling boxed in. Minutes from Brandon a Uber was under $15 I felt the location was perfect. Overall a wonderfully great experience. I highly recommend a quiet, relaxing, peaceful stay here. Excellent for bringing down day to day stress or unblocking writers block. Thank you to the staff.

Garden Inn breakfast ☹️ This is more of a review of Hilton’s Garden Inn, in general. They charge a higher rate than average and then you have to PAY for breakfast. For the price of the room, breakfast should be free. I’ve stayed at Hilton’s Home 2 Suites recently and the rooms are just as nice and breakfast was free. The Garden Inn’s breakfast was good, but too expensive.

Staff tries but don’t seem to have enough resources The front desk staff is very friendly and they are trying their best to make guests happy despite an aging facility. The room wasn’t the cleanest, breakfast has no taste, a ceiling panel in the hall collapsed due to a leak. Over three days all they managed to do was put a trash can under the leak and pick up the soggy ceiling tile pieces. Sign in room says they service room every other day but nobody serviced at all over 4 days. Pillows hard and lumpy.

Nice Lobby. Friendly staff. Hotel needs improvements. Cook needs to take a cooking class. Lobby and bar are very nice and inviting. The staff was super friendly. The food was horrible. Worst hamburger I’ve ever had. It was like eating a hockey puck on bread. No hot water. No soap in dispenser. The pillows suck as with all Hiltons. Make an appointment with a chiropractor if you plan to stay in a Hilton. 95% of all Hilton brand hotels I’ve stayed at since Covid are horrible. I try to stay in Marriott anytime I can. I’m giving my Diamond membership up for an upgraded Bonvoy. Tired of writing these bad Hilton reviews.

Vehicles broken into Be careful staying here. 20 plus cars were broken into, including mine. I went through a real nightmare trying to get my windows fixed. Scary how not one employee heard or saw anything as all this was going on outside in the parking lot all the way around the building.
