First stay with Spark After a Buffalo Bills Monday Night Football game, I ended up driving out of the area to a more affordable hotel and give Spark by Hilton a shot. First impression pulling up was so-so, very poor lighting and no easy to see sign to enter the parking lot. Only the logo on the building was visible for me. The woman at the front desk was over the top friendly, maybe too much at midnight but it was refreshing to see someone who actually cared to make you feel welcome. The property itself is an old hotel believe a Country Inn and Suites that Hilton took over, slapped some lipstick on a pig and opened up shop. The elevator is a joke, so old, small and hardly working. Its terribly painted blue like all the doors so it's hard to find in the hallways, everything looks the same. The room has new carpet, furniture and beds. Mattress was very nice and the sink area is new as well. Bathroom seems untouched from the old hotel, it STINKS of mildew and mold. The toilet very old and barely flushes, has way too much water in it. Bathroom is very very small, Im 5'10 130 and I felt like a giant in the room. Not sure why the bathroom wasn't gutted but I can't see it holding up long. The room set up is clearly not a Hilton and feels extremely budget. I get that's the point but it almost feels too low budget. I can see this location in a short amount of time being a dirty dump and falling into disrepair. A quick nights sleep this is worth it the area is safe and the hotel isn't dirty (yet, its still new), otherwise I'd find somewhere else. Overall not very impressed with Spark, I like the idea but it needs a new facility, this won't last.

Wheelchair-accessible room with a king sized bed and bathtub was okay. Wheelchair-accessible room with a king sized bed and bathtub was okay. I stayed in room 110. Pros: -free breakfast -free parking -friendly front desk and housekeeping staff -comfortable bed -can stream Netflix on the television -mini fridge -enough room to maneuver a wheelchair in the bathroom Cons (some specific to wheelchair users): -There wasn't much space to maneuver a wheelchair in the room. -The clearance under the sink is too low for a wheelchair user to be able to get close to it facing forward. -When you turn the bathroom light on, the vent comes on, and it's LOUD. -When I got there, it smelled awful. The source was the shower curtain, so I ended up taking it down and putting it in the hallway. Housekeeping brought a different shower curtain. The smell lingered, to the point that I ended up buying air freshener spray and a scented wall plug in, which helped a lot. -I had trouble sleeping on some of the nights I was there because people kept opening and closing their doors, and it was really loud. -As others have said, there were pretty limited breakfast options. I ended up buying stuff from the grocery store because I was there multiple days. -No microwave in the room (though there is one in the lobby) I was worried about staying here after reading reviews that mentioned the elevator. I called ahead of time and found out that the wheelchair-accessible rooms are on the first floor. Laundry is on the second floor though. Overall, I thought this hotel was okay. It felt like a budget Hilton to me. The location was close enough to downtown that it worked out for me to drive there every day I was in town. It's a 7-minute drive to Whole Foods.

Okay for 1 night while passing thru The room was clean, but nothing special. They put us in a handicap accessible room. For anyone who needs that, I'm sure they would appreciate the shower chair etc. For us, however, the handheld shower head was not convenient because there is no door or curtain to prevent spraying all over the bathroom. Also, the bedroom door didn't shut automatically which I'm sure is another feature appreciated by someone with mobility issues. Check in was easy and staff was pleasant. Breakfast was continental with cold cereal. Beware of the raisin bran. The raisins had what appeared to be mold. If not mold, they had some odd white stuff that was not appealing. The best part was the bed was comfortable and DelMonico's restaurant across the parking lot was AMAZING!

Budget basic Pretty basic. You get a bed, TV, and bathroom. Nothing fancy, The breakfast is, frankly, poor compared to a Hampton Inn or other budget chains. Across the street from Monroe Community College but not a lot else walkable nearby. The price is right which is its best feature.
