Probably the best hotel for the price in this area Stayed here with a friend for one night for an event at the UBS Arena. When I first got to the hotel, I was a little nervous because it's right off a main drag, but I had nothing to worry about. The place was quiet and peaceful and didn't attract any sort of seedy element you might expect from such a central location. I had interactions with the front desk at check-in, late night after the event, and in the morning, and everyone was exceptionally friendly. The room was clean- definitely a little outdated, but I imagine that's true for most of the hotels in this area. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of space for both my friend and I to get some work done in the morning before we left. The free breakfast was solid, and eating it in that atrium with the sounds of the fountain was actually a nice way to start the morning. The people watching was also fun, as there was clearly a mix of people who had stayed there for the event, as well as airline crew heading to JFK. One thing to note: the backside of the hotel, including the room we stayed in, is pretty close to the LIRR tracks and trains come by pretty regularly. If you're not used to sleeping with the sound of train noise, I'd recommend earplugs. For anyone staying here for an event at UBS, it was about a 20 minute drive with traffic to the prepaid parking garage.

One of the best I can't believe how good this was. the staff was exceptional, so talented, so kind and well trained. The free breakfast every morning was on a different level, I felt like I was in Europe. The rooms were nice. All of the interior was immaculate. The train going by our room every 20 minutes wasn't a detriment, it was a feature. It wasn't loud and my two and 4-year-old boys loved it. Well done!

Always a Pleasant Stay What a friendly front desk staff ! Whenever we came in, they were always smiling and asking how our day went. Rooms were clean. The beds were comfy. There was no noise in the hallway since the rooms are situated above and around the dining hall. Beatrice in the dining room was always freshening things up, keeping plenty of food available . It was spotless!!! She was very nice to talk to. There was a bottle filling station off the dining room which was very helpful since there was no bottled water in the room (which is what I would have expected). It would also be nice to have a safe in the room. All and all it was a very nice stay. We always book with Hampton Inn and Suites. Highly recommend them.

an excellent experience! Friends of mine who were travelling cross country from California had stayed here when they were in the tristate area. They found it to be very comfortable. I had the need to stay in Rockville Center recently as well and they suggested I stay at the Hampton Inn. it is a nice sized property, clean and well maintained. There is ample parking outside as well as handicapped parking spaces as well. As you enter the lobby, there is a nice sitting area on one side of the room and the main desk is on the side opposite this. Jason did my check in and was very efficient. I was in my room in no time. The room I was assigned was comfortable and spacious. The bed was large and very comfortable. The room itself was well lit. There was a nice sized desk area with ample outlets and USB ports for charging. The desk light was great and the desk chair was very comfortable and on wheels. The floor of the main room is carpeted. There are lights on either nightstand and an alarm clock and phone to contact the main desk. On the side of the room closer to the window, there is an oversized chair with ottoman and a table that you can either use your computer or eat a meal while watching television. The closet is very nice, ample room for coats, etc. and there is an luggage rack in the closet in addition to an iron and ironing board. The main room has low bureaus for clothing storage as well as coffee service, a microwave and a small refrigerator. The bathroom is very comfortable, The bathtub shower had good water pressure and the water was hot. There are enough towels in the room itself. If you need more, all you have to do is contact the front desk and they will take care of it. The bathtub has a grab bar and there is shampoo, conditioner and body wash mounted to the walls of the bathtub shower for use. The breakfast is really the highlight. It is located on the first floor just beyond the check in area. It is really comprehensive. They have a coffee and tea area which is available to guests 34/7. The breakfast included eggs, sausage, bacon, southern style gravy, biscuits, waffles, muffins, scones, bagels with cream cheese, yogurt, fresh apples, and fruit cups, I was surprised to see that toppings for the waffles included the usually maple syrup but also chocolate syrup, marshmallows and chocolate chips. Juice was also available and the staff in the breakfast area were very kind and always busy restocking the food stations. There is an ATM just off the main lobby and there are laundry facilities on a level below the main one. There is a small area nearby the check in area where you can purchase ready to eat foods as well as candy, toiletries you may have forgotten and laundry soap as well. However, to avoid being overcharged, there is a CVS within walking distance of the hotel. A Chase bank is also nearby along with many delicious restaurants. There is no sit down dinner restaurant in the hotel itself. Chat Noir [a French bistro] is within walking distance and is very good. There is also a King Kullen supermarket nearby. In terms of the front desk, Ed was very helpful in letting me know what the hotel had to offer and Elizabeth was instrumental is helping me straighten out out my WiFi problem. It was an excellent stay, very comfortable and I would recommend highly and will return.
