Not Up To Wyndham Standards Wyndham should be embarrassed by this one. Thankfully, the sheets and pillowcases seemed clean but my positive review stops there. I think they maybe wipe surfaces and vacuum but the deferred routine cleaning and maintenance are everywhere. Burn holes in blankets and a lingering aroma of stale cigarettes in the non-smoking rooms. Not overpowering, but there. Walls and corners are grubby. Dried spots of who knows what on all of the walls. Paint is scuffed everywhere. It screams “we haven’t spent a dime in 20 years. “ I would have expected it (and avoided it) if I was focused on the Howard Johnson name only or if it was an $80 room but with a Wyndham label and at almost $150 for a night, I wasn’t prepared for the 1990’s converted motor lodge vibe. Sad thing is, it wouldn’t take much work to make it cute and clean and the location is so convenient for travel. Think there are too many glowing reviews for them to be posted as written so will see if this makes it to the site.

Absolutely Disgusting! Black Mold! I can’t even begin to understand the good reviews here. We booked a night here based on the reviews, and we wish we didn’t. Make sure you check out all the pictures I took of this nasty place. We’re pretty low maintenance and only have a few requirements when it comes to hotels/motels. They must be clean, pet friendly & safe. What a disappointment this place turned out to be. This hotel is pet friendly, but only allow one dog and they charge a non-refundable fee of $25, which is NOT disclosed when booking. It was a total surprise to me when we checked in. I’m not sure if the fee is per night, because we only stayed one night. If a hotel is going to charge an extra fee for a pet, we should know about this beforehand. They also charge a $50 refundable deposit on your card when you check in too. The hotel seemed safe to me. The doors open from the outside and there are 2 floors. There are lots of cameras outside, so that was comforting. Our main issue was the state of the room. We booked a non-smoking room, and while it didn’t smell like cigarettes, it smelled like my grandmas basement or an abandoned house. Very odd smell. The first thing we did was check the bed and sheets. That was the one bright spot in the room as the sheets looked and smelled clean. We bring Lysol wipes with us to every hotel, because you’d be surprised at what doesn’t get cleaned, even in the expensive hotels. Almost all the furniture in it was run down. The lampshades had holes in them and were dirty, there were cigarette burns in one of the blankets and some pieces from the floor were broken. We didn’t really mind that because we were just staying for a night, but it looked pretty bad. I don’t mind run down furniture if the place is at least clean. But this place was gross. There was dirt all over the front door, the bathroom door and some unknown brown substance on the hair dryer. All of these things came off when we used our wipes, meaning they didn’t clean it beforehand. There was a “No Smoking” sign in the room that was covered in filth. I wiped it down and you can see the dirt on the wipe in the picture. Around the bathroom door and ceiling was caked dirt and dust, it was absolutely appalling. But the most concerning part of the room was the air conditioner. BLACK MOLD all over it. I’m glad we didn’t visit during the warmer months because I would never have used that AC. It was obvious that the air quality was horrible, even without using the AC. We were both sneezing and coughing within a few hours of being there and so was my dog. We had to keep the window open to get some fresh air in there, but we were uneasy about it because we were on the first floor with people walking by. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, it felt like there was only a thin layer of padding over the springs. It was difficult to sleep because we couldn’t get comfortable. We both woke up with backaches the next day. All in all, we’d never stay here again and I’m glad we only had to stay for one night, we couldn’t wait to leave. If you care about staying in a clean hotel, pass this one up.

Budget motel, Good value An older property that has been refreshed. Furnishings in good condition, comfortable bed, quiet room. No complaints. Checked in late and left in the morning. This was perfect for my needs. I would rather save money on accommodations, as long as I am comfortable. This works for me.

Our king Room was clean, well maintained, & roomy! Reserved a king room. It was on the second floor. EZ check in. EZ check out. Room was as nice as anywhere. The motel is older but well maintained. Breakfast was basic with cereal, juice, oatmeal, coffee, & packaged coffee cake. I would give this property 5 stars except there is no elevator and there are flooring dividers inside our unit to the bathroom & at the top of the stairs that you could easily trip over. The front desk person did advise of the ones at the top of the steps. Those that can’t easily walk steps should def ask for first floor. Otherwise bed/pillows were comfy & we would certainly return again knowing what we know now.
