Homely stay This hotel is a hidden gem. Staff are very friendly and helpful from the get go, the rooms although dated have everything you need for a comfortable stay , including robes and slippers! We slept great here , very quiet , good air conditioning and very comfy pillows. The breakfast was tasty and they had a very good selection and again the staff at breakfast were so cheerful and friendly. It’s also in good walking distance to local restaurants and the main landmarks. I’ve had a lovely stay here and would highly recommend to others having a short city break in Rome.

Short city break! From the moment you entered the hotel you were welcomed and made feel at home. Location was excellent, a short walk from the Repblica Metro stop. We were a party of 3 - Mum, Dad & daughter. We had a room with 2 double beds which was clean and more than adequate for our needs - we weee gone all day and just needed a bed to sleep on. Reception staff were friendly and most helpful, special mention to Tania for all the advice & suggestions. Breakfast was very good every morning with a good choice. The terrace area was a lovely chilled out and relaxing area for food or an after dinner drink. Plenty of good restaurants in the area. Lovely stay and very enjoyable, well done Empire Palace & staff.

Great Location & Amazing Service from the VERY Friendly Staff. Firstly, I can’t believe some of the comments regarding this hotel. It is Rome folks. The rooms are older and smaller. That is part of the history. Now for the positive. What you want in Rome is a place that allows access by foot to the main attractions, or the ability to get a taxi if needed. This had both. Yes the room is not what you might get elsewhere in the world, but so what. The staff were simply amazing. They went out of their way to assist my wife and I every time we requested anything. They were simply outstanding. I will take GREAT service over a more modern room every day of the week. Every day we went down to the restaurant for what was a fantastic breakfast, we were greeted with smiles and help. It was such a great start to every day. We like to stay in nice hotels and had no idea what this hotel would be like. I would stay there again in a minute just for the service and its location. Finally, if you do stay here, go to the restaurant around the corner ‘La Locanda il Bacco”. Incredible food. Reasonably priced given that this is a higher end restaurant.

Wonderful way to begin a vacation. Would highly recommend this hotel This is a beautiful continental feeling hotel. The staff is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the small intimate restaurant on site. The room was very comfortable and centrally located to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain

Lovely Hotel Had a great 3 night stay here as a family. Lovely old stylish hotel, room was very nice, breakfast superb and the staff both professional and friendly. Less than 15 min walk to Termini and nice area with a number of close eateries. Would definitely come again
