Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Saginaw by IHG

Don't stay here - if you do you’ll regret it DO NOT STAY HERE!!! When we arrived they said our room wasn't ready so they would upgrade us to a jazzuci suite. We were excited until we walked in the room and discovered the air conditioner didn't work. Note, there was one house fan that didnt work well plugged in. So we declined the "upgrade" and requested a room with a functioning air conditioner. Once in the 2nd room, we began to wipe down the bathroom with lysol wipes; spray the bed and couches with lysol spray and wipe the desk, phone etc with wipes. To our surprise that's when the bugs came out. So we wanted out but there were no other rooms available in this hotel or others. You'll be better sleeping in your car than this hotel. Book at your own risk

Worst Holliday Inn Express we have ever stay in. Of the 5 other Holiday Inn Express and Suites across Canada and the 2 in the USA this has to be the worse Holiday and Suites we have ever stay in. Spider webs not vacuumed around the hvac unit, and on tope on one of the lights, carpet not completely vacuumed, washroom door would close as it was warped or too wide for the opening. The room safe broken and not advised over 24 hours later that it could be fixed until the following week, yet the maintenance man was just sitting around when we left for dinner. The individual working the front desk need some training on how to greet your hotel guests. A smile would have been nice, a welcome to ... would have been nice but all we got was a look of "I'm bored can I go home look" The lady working the breakfast area on Saturday deserves a raise as she was the only one who showed excellent customer service. Her co-worker on Monday was a joke. He spent more time sitting down and talking with one of his buddies. When I asked about the need for more bacon and home fries, in a "i really don't care attitude" not impressed at all. Yes we got a discount for the condition of the room, but when I had a question about the bill as it appeared on my credit card statement the person answering the phone after asking who was calling hung up not once but three times. If I did that when I was working, you can rest assure that there would have been some form of punishment. Will I ever stay there again? NEVER. If I do go back to Saginaw there are other hotels that serve breakfast and are closer to some of the local amenities.

TERRIBLE DO NOT STAY HERE! THE ROOMS ARE NOT CLEANED WELL; THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH TOWELS AND AMENITIES IN THE ROOM; THE HALLWAYS, POOL, WORKOUT AREAS ARE DIRTY. THERE ARE UNATTENDED CHILDREN IN THE POOL AND WORKOUT AREAS. ANY NOISE COMPLAINTS ARE IGNORED AND THEY ARE UNDERSTAFFED AT ALL TIMES OF THE DAY.

Not the best The service was poor. They did not freshen our room or provide new towels. The breakfast was stale. The rooms had poor soundproofing. Toilet was dirty. Good water pressure for the shower. There were a lot of nice restaurants around. I have stayed in worse, but not many.

needs an overhaul I know they are renovating (areas closed off) however, the staff is wonderful, very helpful and upbeat. I was not happy with the mattresses, they were very soft I imagine it's because they are old. The toilet seat was loose and couldn't me tightened up. The tub was all scuffed up from years of use. Towels had stains on them. Lots of light gets in around the door and kids running the halls did not help. I don't usually stay in Holiday Inns but I worked all day and was really only there to sleep. Food was standard, bananas were left out too many days.
